Introducing ABC Letter Die

Today the new ABC die from The {Stamps} of Life was released.  This is a fun die set that coordinates with letters2color, zebra2letter and outline4letters so a lot of different sets to work with it.

I've been using it in my Project Life album, it's perfect for scrapbooking.

My first card I created some of my own patterned paper and then die cut the letters out of it.

Card details:
Stamps: Daisies2Garden and Tinytitles2stamp from The {Stamps} of Life
Card Stock: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Confetti White
Inks: Color Box by Stephanie Barnard in Licorice and Banana
Embellishments: My Minds Eye Boy Crazy enamel dots, ABC dies from The {Stamps} of Life

Wanted to get creative with this card and combine it with some of the sentiments, so I emphasized the Happy Birthday with just using the die cut for the first letter of the sentiment.

 Card details:
Stamps: Greetings4birthday, Letters2color from The {Stamps} of Life
Card Stock: Soft Sky, Confetti White, Teresa Collins Memories paper
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, copics

By far one of my favorites of my collection and am sorry I couldn't get a better picture of it.  I love using the Sizzix die to create these layered flowers.

Sorry I missed your birthday...

Just a quick share this morning.  If you haven't heard the news over at The {Stamps} of Life and their new club, you might want to jump over and see the announcement.

I created this card with one of my favorite color combinations for the summer time.  I cut a few of the Banners #2 Sizzix Framelits after stamping them with Guava ink.  I tucked them under a strip of solid paper to give it a "flag" look.

My itty bitty snail is from the Snails2mail set and I colored it with copics and then added some chunky glitter to the shell.

Inside my card says "better late than never"

Hope you are having a good Tuesday!

Banner Dies

Looking for a great banner stamp, The {Stamps} of Life has one that works well with the Sizzix Framelits Banners #2 die.  I know this is one I'll use often in my scrapbooking-perfect for party pictures.

Here are a few I created with this set, Banners2Cut that was released today.  Hope you enjoy.

With Love

I love creating little square cards (this one is 4 x 4) and although I *love* designer papers, I also like to create my own background papers at times.

For this one, I used the little flower in the Words & Tags Framelits & stamp set and then colored them in with a copic marker.

Was a quick simple card.

Just Saying Hello

I came across my friend Mary Jo's website and forgot how much I enjoyed playing with her sketches back in the day and saw one that popped right out at me.  While I didn't have it done in enough time, I still enjoyed playing along.

I used two different stamp sets for this card, and I love the frames in this set.  I'm using up some of my retired Stampin' Up! card stock, some which are my favorites.  Disappointed that some long term colors are being retired.

My focal point is the sentiment which is from the Signs4words set and I added the flowers with the stamp in the framelits set.

Thank you flower

Today is the day of the new release over at The {Stamps} of Life.  There are a few great sets being released so make sure to check them all out, but the one I was most anxious to work with was the Sign4words set.  I love sentiments and this was right up my alley.

I picked these colors originally to make a masculine card, but ended up on a more feminine path when I added the layered flower.

The background was created using the Dots2love set and I didn't worry about whether or not I got good coverage as it was going to be more distressed, but ended up a little cleaner than I was planning.

Thanks for stopping by to visit and hope you enjoyed my creation.

Welcome Baby

Today over at Blogger's Challenge our theme is to create a "scene".  I know I could have gone with a Christmas scene but I've done quite a few of those cards over the last few weeks, so I thought I would change it up a bit and do a baby theme.

I created this card using one of the cool Sizzix Flip-It Dies from The {Stamps} of Life.  I used the wavy border die and cut it several times, layering it on my diamond to create the "waves" the little duckies are swimming in.

Hope you will join us at Blogger's Challenge this week, would love to see your scene creations.

Sweeter than honey

I have some more Bee cards to share for you.  I had a blast with this set as I usually do with any of The {Stamps} of Life sets.  I had a hard time breaking from the black, white and yellow bee scheme.

Thanks

Today over at Blogger's Challenge we are "Giving Thanks".

I have lots of things to be thankful for, a wonderful family, good health, a job that I like, great friends, and so much more.

This card was actually created for the Paper Crafts call to make your own background with stamps and I have to say this is one of my most favorite cards I've made in awhile.  I adore this color combination and love how this came together with the Quick2Border set from The {Stamps} of Life.

The bloom was made from the Sizzix Flower Framelits, I wrinkled the paper a bit, die cut the flower and sponged over the crinkles.  This large jewel is one of my favorites that I picked up at a stamp show from Bo Bunny.

Hope you will join us over at Blogger's Challenge and show how you "Give Thanks".  I'm busy wrapping up some cards for the Hope You can Cling To Challenges at SCS, I didn't finish all the challenges, but I had fun with the ones I did finish and am sending over a bunch more that I had not done anything with-they all go to a wonderful cause.

GGSC137: Pop It Up

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is POP IT UP.

For my cards, I used the Flip-It dies from Sizzix Movers & Shakers Square Die for Stephanie Barnard to create my POP.  Love how you can decorate both sides of the card so when you open it, the middle POPS out.

Hope you are able to see how they work from the photos, the cards were a little difficult to photograph until I figured out a good way to do it.

My first card uses the Trees4Christmas set from The {Stamps} of Life. I love this set and think I'll be using it for a lot of my holiday cards this year.  The tree has several different designs to choose from and I love the circle sentiments.  I used some liquid pearls in Petal Pink for my dots on the trees and the trim uses the Wavy Die Set.  You'll see on my card below I used the negative of the cut on my card.

I went with a Spring theme on this card using the Bunny4Easter set and the Sizzix Movers & Shapers Fancy Label set.

For my last card I used the Thanks2You set and created my own background paper with my stamps on this one.

Hope my friends on East Coast are safe.

Gray Thanks

I was thrilled with how this card turned out, except for the ripping on the side...I was trying to distress and paper was a little frail :-)

Had a blast this weekend with some friends at the Heirloom Show in York, PA.  Saturday was exhausting, but enjoyed meeting so many stampers and seeing the excitement of all those shopping.

Today I'm off and hoping to get a card or two made...but also wanting to nap.  Oh the choices!  First I better get through my google reader.

This is for the Rays of Hope Challenge at SCS Hope You Can Cling to from Beate to use gray with a splash of color.

Card details:
Stamps: Labels4Cutting and Thanks2you from The {Stamps} of Life
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Gina K. Luxury White, My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally
Inks: Such a Gray-cious Host
Embellishments: Distresser, Fancy Labels #4 for Stephanie Barnard from Sizzix, rhinestones

Happy 13th Birthday

Today is some more new releases over at The {Stamps} of Life.  This release there are a few sets I like, but I knew that the numbers2stamp and the crayonletters2stamp would be wonderful to work with in my Project Life albums (which I'm behind on).

My soon to be teenage son was invited to a co-ed birthday party this past weekend and so I thought this set would work perfectly to make the girl a 13th birthday card.

For my banner, I stamped my cardstock with the dictionary4me before cutting out my pennants.  I decided to create my own background for the large strip so I stamped my cardstock with the animals4print set.

I used the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #166 for this card, I think it worked perfectly for a teenage girl.  This is also for the current challenge over at There She Goes for their 4th anniversary to use banners.

Card details:
Stamps: Greetings4Birthday, Animals4Print, Dictionary4me and Numbers2Stamp from The {Stamps} of Life

Happy Bugs off the edge

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are challenged to go "Off the Edge".

For my card I used the Happy Bugs set from Sweet Stamp Shop and stamped my bugs all over my die cut and then again on a piece of white card stock.  I colored them and popped them up going off the edge all over the place.

Sorry, just realized this picture has too much white light to it and you can barely see my die cut.  You can see it on my close up above.

I used the current Retro Sketches challenge for this card as well and I love the little sentiment which is hard to read but it says "Is something bugging you?"

Hope you will join us over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations and show us your "Off the Edge" creations.

Hi & Hello

Today is the next installment of the die set release for The {Stamps} of Life, the Wavy Border Die.  I loved playing with this die and was feeling so creative that I think I made about 4 cards with it this past weekend.

For my first card I went with a real Clean & Simple card using the Crayons2Stamp set.  I based the colors off the Dynamic Duos challenge (River Rock, Black + dessert option: brads) and the The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge (sketch with a spin-die cuts or punches).

I used the Wavy Border die set to accent my strip of River Rock across the card.

********************************
Card details:
Stamps: Crayons2Stamp from The {Stamps} of Life
Cardstock: River Rock, Basic Black and Authentique Gathering
Embellishments: Wavy Border Die from The {Stamps} of Life, circle dies from Spellbinders, black brad from Designer Mix (Clear & Simple Stamps)

Since I haven't been able to play much with the Retro Sketches I sat down as soon as I saw it this week and went to work on creating my card.  For this card, I again used the larger of the wavy dies to create a strip across the card.  I randomly stamped my large panel using the Back2Basics set.

Card details:
Stamps: Back2Basics from The {Stamps} of Life
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Gina K. Luxury White, Bordering Blue, Authentique Fresh
Inks: Such a Gray-cious Host, Red Couture and Bordering Blue
Embellishments: Wavy Border die set  and from The {Stamps} of Life, rhinestone brad, Sizzix flower embossing folder from The {Stamps} of Life

Blogger's Challenge: Alter It

It's Friday!  Finally!!  And it's Blogger's Challenge today and we are to alter something.  I didn't have much time to stamp this week with the Olympics going on and my addiction to watching them like millions of others.

I had to pull something out of the archives but luckily I have something to share.  I'm not much into altering things-as a matter of fact, I just purged a ton of stuff out of my studio that I had bought to alter and they have been in here forever.

This is an altered clothes-pin that I used as a recipe holder.  I combined some of my favorite papers from Simple Stories and adhered the papers using some Scor-tape.  I had to squeeze my writing onto one of the cards to create my recipe card, but man, I can't wait to try this one...think it will be a good one for some easy holiday gifts.

Hope you will join us over at Blogger's Challenge and show us how you alter it.

Warm Thoughts

Today at Blogger's Challenge we are getting ready for the holidays early, with Christmas in July.

I made a shaped card for this challenge using my Sizzix Rounded Tags, cutting 3 different sizes.  I embossed my little penguin from the My Peeps set from Paper Smooches.  I adhered that panel on with some sewing and added a few little prima flowers to the corner.

Hoping you will join us for Blogger's Challenge this week and show us your Christmas in July creations.

Today I'll be traveling cross country to attend my 20th reunion, looking forward to it and seeing a lot of my friends.  I'm sure my weekend will fly by as I'm only staying until Monday morning.
