Birthday Bouquet for Kristen

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Flower Power".

My birthday card is a shout out to our Going Grey with Scrap-Creations owner and my good friend, Kristen as it's her birthday today.  Happy Birthday my friend!

I'm not going to lie to you, I love flowers but this one was hard for me as I has been trying to combine my friend Jeanne's Mix-ability challenge on SCS to hand cut circle flowers.  I cut out about 3 different sets of different flowers and nothing was coming together like I wanted it to.

Finally, this weekend while browsing the color challenges I came across the current Dynamic Duo's color challenge and decided some patterned paper flowers would work well.  The flowers are some of my My Mind's Eye Ruby patterned paper and I drew my stems and leaves on myself.  I had some ribbon scraps and added that to my bouquet.

The sentiment is from Sweet Stamp Shop's Simple Sentiments set. (try saying that multiple times)

Hope you will join us at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations and show us your flower power.

SDC86: Red, Pink and White

Today is Stampotique Designer's Challenge and Jenn is our hostess.  Here's what she has challenged us with this week:

"Hi Stampotique friends and followers! Jenn Cochran here with a LOVELY assortment of colors for your challenge this week. Show us how much your LOVE Stampotique Originals by using the colors of LOVE: RED, Pink and White! Cannot wait to see what you all create!"

I had just received some stamps last week, some for my daughter and myself to play with.  This was one of my daughter's images but thought it would work wonderful with this challenge.  It's hard to tell if there is pink on this card, but my background paper is white with pink "love" all over it.  I also colored her dress in pink.

I used the CAS(E) this Sketch this week along with the Dynamic Duos color challenge.

Halloween: BOO!

I'm sorry, I way behind on my posting today for the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge which is a Halloween theme.  I've been creating lots of Halloween stuff this year and so I decided to pull out my Silhouette and re-create a cool bat favor I saw on Laurie Schmidlin's blog last week.

I changed it up just a little bit by decorating the front of my bat instead of having the "wings" in the back of it.  It was easy to do and I love how it turned out...and I even used some older paper I had in my stash.  I'm also entering this in the Cameo Spotlight Challenge #6 which is a Halloween theme.

My second Halloween share was created for the Dynamic Duo Challenge to use pumpkin pie and black.

Sorry I'm so late in posting and I don't have all my stamp details with me, but the image above is from Stampotique, 3 Smiles.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hi & Hello

Today is the next installment of the die set release for The {Stamps} of Life, the Wavy Border Die.  I loved playing with this die and was feeling so creative that I think I made about 4 cards with it this past weekend.

For my first card I went with a real Clean & Simple card using the Crayons2Stamp set.  I based the colors off the Dynamic Duos challenge (River Rock, Black + dessert option: brads) and the The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge (sketch with a spin-die cuts or punches).

I used the Wavy Border die set to accent my strip of River Rock across the card.

Card details:
Stamps: Crayons2Stamp from The {Stamps} of Life
Cardstock: River Rock, Basic Black and Authentique Gathering
Embellishments: Wavy Border Die from The {Stamps} of Life, circle dies from Spellbinders, black brad from Designer Mix (Clear & Simple Stamps)

Since I haven't been able to play much with the Retro Sketches I sat down as soon as I saw it this week and went to work on creating my card.  For this card, I again used the larger of the wavy dies to create a strip across the card.  I randomly stamped my large panel using the Back2Basics set.
