Faith, hope and mad love

Another set of cards utilizing my stash of 6 x 6 papers.

I've tried to remain with some neutral card bases to make it easier and I did mix up the sentiments a bit on some of the sketches I used.

I stuck with using the Operation Write Home sketch #186

She be little

Are you tired of the Chickadees yet?

How perfect is this sentiment from Mama Elephant's Everyday Greetings set with this little chick?  I swear I shrieked when I realized how well they paired with one another.

Not too much in terms of technique or difficulty on this card, pretty quick and simple.

Hope you enjoy!

Party like a Rockstar

Today over at Blogger's Challenge our theme is Birthdays.

I know I am always in need of Birthday cards, and I was able to create a few masculine ones for the last Paper Crafts call this past week.  Unfortunately, none of them were right for the issue, but I have lots to share on my blog.

For this card, I kept it CAS using only the balloons as my focal point and then added some dimensional glue on them to give them some shine.

Hope you have a great weekend, I know I'm looking forward to mine.

Join us over at Blogger's Challenge and show us your Birthday creations.

Hello There Butterfly

Just a quick card to share today, I didn't stamp at all this weekend-this was a card I made for a publication call that was rejected.

I created the splattered pieces by spraying inks on a craft mat along with a few sprays of water and then put the card stock face down on the craft mat.

Once it was dried, I punched the circles and then sewed them onto the card stock.

I love the sentiments in this set.

Hope you have a Happy Monday!

We Click

I was thrilled to see Mama Elephant with a sketch challenge.  This was the 2nd one so I guess I totally missed the boat on the first one but will be keeping my eye out going forward now.

I took the little camera from the We Click set and stamped my background sheet, coloring in just a little of the camera with my copic.

For my banner pieces I stamped the "We Click" and then felt like it was still missing something so I stamped the little couple and punched it with a circle.  I don't love how it turned out (that part anyway) but I do like how the card came out.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great week.

SCS LOVE FEST

WOW, I have to say it's been awhile since I spent a few hours in my studio creating just for fun and this weekend I made it a point to work my way through some road blocks (mainly my mojo and time).

I set out to create a lot for fun this weekend (I did get some design team projects completed as well).  I wrote out the list of the SCS challenges going on and then a list of other challenges I wanted to play in.

I hope you will bear with my LONG post today as I share an array of cards.  As I was telling my friend I was creating like crazy, I realized that almost ALL of my photos have a floral focal point.  What can I say?  I love the floral stamps!!!!

Hope your Monday is starting off well and that I might be able to spark a little creativity for you.  I know I've counted on all of you at one time or another to spark mine :-)

Just a quick post today with a real quick and simple card.

Happy Day Collection

My friend, Beth Matson and I have been challenging one another to use up some of our designer paper lately (along with lots of other supplies).

I sent her some pics of what I had been working on and she knew she had that same paper pad (Simple Stories Happy Day), so we are coordinating our posts so you can see what she created with the same paper pad.

I was going for some pretty simple cards to sell at my hubby's work.  I didn't want to put too many embellishments on them and I was doing my best to not do much stamping, but rather use the little die cuts that come with it.  Hard to create such different cards when you have the same type of rectangles, but I think the collection turned out well.

I was also happy to use up not only some of this paper pad (I still have a bunch left), but other than my card base, I pulled scraps out my card stock.

Hope you will visit Beth as well and say "hi". She's got some gorgeous creations (she let me sneak a peek at some and I even added some banners onto my top right card based on one of hers).

Sorry, I don't have details of many of them since I sent them all in as soon as I was getting them created.

Hope you like!

All Smiles

Today over at Blogger's Challenge our theme is "Alter It".  I'm not great at altering things, but I came across this Box Top Fridge Holder from Melissa and knew I had to give it a go.

This was so easy to make and decorate,  using a new set I got from Mama Elephant called We Click.

If you didn't see my blog yesterday, you can see that instead of putting box tops in my holder, I made some 3.5 x 5" cards instead and they fit in there perfectly.

Hope you will join us over at Blogger's Challenge this week and show us how you alter it.

Click Collection

Last night I got on a roll creating some cards using my new sets from Mama Elephant and For the Record 2 papers from Echo Park.  Bear with me as this will be a heavy post full of cards.  Come back tomorrow as I'll share with you how I packaged up this set.

The first one uses a new sketch challenge- CAS(E) this sketch!  The sketch was very clean and simple-loved how quick this card came together although for the life of me I can't find my 1" circle die and my punch is kaput.

Don't you love that little washi tape stamp under the sentiment??

***************************************************
For this card I stamped two of the balloons on patterned paper and fussy cut them and the polka dot one is a stamp from the Good Times set.  Loving this new Lawn Fawn trimmings twine I got, nice and thick and ties easily as well.

***************************************************
Getting in right in the knick of time with the current Retro Sketches challenge.  My cameras ended up being a little off kilter on this one, not so much centered...but I'm ok with that (this time anyway).  This was a fun sketch to do.

My card uses a different set this time from Mama Elephant called We Click. I think I was sold on this set from the sentiment alone.

Ardyth's challenge over at Hope You can Cling to today is to be inspired by one (or more) of the vital signs (heart beat/pulse, temperature, blood pressure or breathing).  My card uses blue for cold (temperature) and hearts in the cameras (for heart beat/pulse)

 ***************************************************
The sentiment in this set really cracks me up!  I wanted to keep with the same theme as my other cards so I cut the scallop part  out of the paper itself and think it turned out perfectly.  The Hope You Can Cling to Challenge for yesterday was from Lynn to use a decorative edge on your card.

The sketch is from Skipping Stones Designs and I put to use some of this gorgeous May Arts Crochet White ribbon.

 ***************************************************
This was probably the most difficult sketch for me to work with.  It's the current Fall-to-Layout and the while the design was so cool, I had the hardest time figuring out how to make it work.  I think I accomplished it.  I cut two strips of my yellow and cut them at the same angle, then flipped one so they were the opposite of one another on the card.  The little patterned strip was a left over piece of patterned paper. Another sentiment that just cracks me up.  This is the perfect set for teenagers.

 ***************************************************
Hope you enjoyed my card parade today, was fun to create some cards using the same papers, size, and stamps.
