Happy Bird*day

The first sketch I used above was with Operation Write Home #236 and the one below uses #221 Sketch.

I dove into some neglected Stampin' Up! Stamps to use on my one below and really left it plain with no embellishments other than the stickles on it.

The one above, one of my favorite stamps and sentiments.  Love coloring this image and know it will be a fun birthday card for someone.

Noel

Onwards with the Christmas cards-this one showcasing the Carta Bella Winter Fun cardstock.

Again, combining it with one of my favorite sketch sites, Operation Write Home #193 sketch-maybe next year I'll plan further in advance so I can send my batch of cards off to them.

You are Loved

On a crazy clean & simple roll here-creating a lot of different cards using favorite sketches and my
6 x 6 paper stash.

The cards above use the Operation Write Home #220 and the cards below use Operation Write Home #185 sketch with a little liberty on the placement of the square.

I decided to break out some of the die cuts that are included with the paper pack on these cards and like how they turned out.  Sometimes they are easy to incorporate, but not always.

Stamps: Splattered Mug 10017 from Stampotique, Chit Chat from Paper Smooches and Treasured Words from Verve Stamps
Cardstock: Mellow Moss, Crumb Cake, Kaiser Craft Peachy Keen collection

29 Again?

I love this paper!  The leaves have a wonderful felt feeling to them and of course this is one of my favorite colors.

I know you all will be tired of all my 6 x 6 paper posts, but I'm so happy to be putting them to use-now to just remember to send the cards out or put together some little gifts for the holidays.

Keeping in theme, using another Operation Write Home Sketch #173.  I made the circle flowers out of some of the patterned paper scraps I had.

Enjoy the cards!

Thankful

Last night my great friend and sister-in-law Heather came over with my brother for dinner and some crafty time.  This is the 2nd time in a month we've made time in the evening to do some stamping (me) and Project Life (her).

I only got a few cards done, but this was one of my favorites and probably took me the longest to accomplish due to all the layers with it.

I used the newest Operation Write Home Sketch #243 which involved a lot of layers-but love they provide measurements for you!

I was also drawn to the colors in the latest Color Throwdown Challenge #319 and new this set I had just received was perfect for it.

Hope you enjoy your Sunday-ours is cold and rainy but on the flip side...a perfect day to stay indoors and do some stamping!

Faith, hope and mad love

Another set of cards utilizing my stash of 6 x 6 papers.

I've tried to remain with some neutral card bases to make it easier and I did mix up the sentiments a bit on some of the sketches I used.

I stuck with using the Operation Write Home sketch #186

Life is a Story.

On my quest to use up some of my 6 x 6 here is another pair of cards I created using the Operation Write Home sketch #148 from 2012.

I find these sketches to be some of my favorites as we I love that they have the measurements along with the sketch.

I've done a pretty good job the last few weekends at creating a mass of cards, this weekend I managed to create 16 cards, sometimes I make 4 of the same cards and sometimes only 2-but I am using up my 6 x 6 paper pads.

Hope you enjoy the variety of cards and have a wonderful Monday!

SDC142: Paint or Pens

Magda is our hostess this week over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge and here is what she's eager to see from you:

I always have a pen or pencil with me. Always with notebook full of drawings and doodles. I'm sure not only me! I would love to see a pen in your project. It can be a drawing, doodles or simply some journaling. It might be even a single word. I'm looking forward to see your entries for this challenge!

For my card I used my inks and painted my background with an aquapainter.  I then also painted the flowers a bit and flicked some ink onto the cut out circle.

For my card I was inspired by the OWH219 sketch and the PPA Color Challenge #198 below.

BC359: Birthday

Today over at Blogger's Challenge, our challenge "Mom" gave us the subject of birthday...I wonder why????

Oh, yeah, it's her birthday is tomorrow!  So join us in wishing Lisa a Happy Birthday and showing off those birthday creations for her.  I've had the privilege of calling Lisa my friend for years now and over them, we've discovered more and more we have in common...if only she lived closer (or I closer to her).

Hoping this card may have arrived in the mail to her by the time this goes live.  I've been horrid about sending friends birthday cards-I'm trying to build up my stash so I won't have to worry about creating for ever birthday that comes up.

I used the Operation Write Home sketch for this card, eliminating one of the flags to make the sentiment work.

Love the design of this card, but I especially love this sentiment.  Considering the first memory of Lisa & I was at a scrapper's retreat where everyone was fighting over some Eclair Cake, the sentiment seemed appropriate.

Lisa-Hope you have a fabulous birthday my friend!

Tweet of You

Well, I had thought I set up my blog postings for this whole week, there went one of my goals already and it's only the 3rd of January ;-)

I had to get some thank you cards together for birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, etc. and wanted to do a few of the same designs.  I chose this layout from Operation Write Home and pulled out some of my zig zag washi tape.

I don't use this cute set from Paper Smooches (My Peeps) often enough, but thought it would make a great feminine or masculine thank you card.  This week is also an Anything Goes week over at Paper Smooches Sparks Challenges so will be entering this for that as well.

Hope your New Year is off to a good start, I know mine has been (for the most part anyway).

Anni-VERVE-sary PARADE

Okay bear with me as I show you the glorious cards I made this weekend for the Anni-VERVE-sary challenges at VERVE.  I was able to get up bright and early on Sunday, the kids were playing well together and I decided to do some fun stamping.  I combined a few of my favorite challenges with the Verve challenges.  I have to say I had a really fun time and was surprised at how many cards I was able to get completed.

I also threw my "hat" in the ring for the CAS-DT over at SCS and so I created an additional card this week for that using some Verve stamps.

So here goes, hope you enjoy.  Would love to hear which one is your favorite.

First card uses the OWH134 sketch and is the VSAVS12A to use green, pink and brown.
Stamps: Blessings from Verve Stamps
Paper: My Mind's Eye-Dwell, Crumb Cake
Ink: Dish All the Dirt Brown, copic markers
Accessories: Stickles

This is probably one of my favorite cards using the MOJO254 sketch and the VSAVS12B challenge of an anniversary theme and the VSAVS12E challenge of anything but a card.  I used a pillow box and created a belly band to go over it.  Unfortunately I didn't follow directions very well and may need to go back and re-vise my card to include wood or silver on it :-(

Stamps: Text Objects from Verve Stamps
Paper: My Mind's Eye Blush, Mauved by the Paprazzi, Dish All the Dirt Brown
Ink: Dish All the Dirt Brown
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Melissa Frances Vintage Attic Treasure Jewels, Pillow Box from Clear & Simple Stamps

Okay, I lied...I think this is my favorite card!  This uses the CR84FN61 colors of aqua, brown and cream along with the VSAVS12C sketch.

Stamps: Great Friend from Verve Stamps
Paper: My Mind's Eye Breeze, Aqua Mist, Crumb Cake
Ink: Versamark, Cool Carribean, Dish All the Dirt Brown
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Candy Dots, Dots embossing folder, twine

This card is a little bit different for me, I don't always do bright colored cards.  I was kind of stumped as to what to create for my clean & simple card, so hoping this is good.  This combines the VSAVS12D for a Clean & Simple card and for the CAS-ual Friday challenge to create something you might see at or in the ocean.  Since I just finished watching a full week of Shark Week and seeing many surfers and their shark stories I pulled out the RELAX set.    This is also for the Repetition Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Stamps: Relax from Verve Stamps
Paper: Creamsicle Cardigan, Spring Rain, Gina K. Luxury White
Ink: Perfect Little Black Dress, copic markers, Pumpkin Piet
Accessories: Wavy Border Die from The {Stamps} of Life

If you are still with me, thank you!!!  Here is my last card which was one I did for the CAS-DT call over at SCS using "team colors".  My colors reflect one of our favorite baseball teams, the Atlanta Braves.

Stamps: Feel The Sun
Paper: Gina K. Luxury White, You're Style Blue me Away, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: You're Style Blue Me Away, copic
Accessories: Lemondrop Twine from The Twinery

Dots, Dots and More Dots

Over the Monday blues and onto Tuesday where I got inky for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.  Today our theme is the letter "D" in which you can use anything you like starting with "D" such as digital images, dots, design paper, doodles).

For today's card, I used a new set being released from The {Stamps}of Life called Dots2Love along with some old favorites of mine, Mums2Stamp and MoreMums2Love.  The color combination is the current one over at CR84FN and the sketch is OWH132.

I with with DOTS for my "D" today.

Join us over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations & show us how you can get creative with your "D".
