FMS563 Christmas Wishes

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!  We hosted here at the house where hubby smoked a delicious turkey, we had our family over, and enjoyed our time together.

I had a day off work and thoroughly enjoyed sitting down and stamping all day and well into the night.  It's not often that I get that energized about my creativity but seemed to be on a roll and created a few sets of cards over the weekend.

I'm squeaking in my challenge card at Freshly Made Sketches which was a great one to use my new stencil from Taylored Expressions, the Artisan Feathers with my Distress Oxide Inks.  I paired it with the Botanical Bunch stamp set from W-9 along with a sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by to say "hi"!

Christmas Cheer

I broke out another darling image from Stampotique to create these fairly simple cards.  I again used the Echo Park papers and a little bit of coloring with my Copic markers.

May Peace be your gift

Going along with my mojo and continuing to create more Christmas/Holiday cards I pulled out this fun image and sentiment from Stampotique and also combined it with the Fusion Card Challenge for the week.

I always love using patterned paper and always try to incorporate it somehow on my cards...I mean I have enough of it that I need to use it.

To give this image a little more depth I added some dimensional dots behind it and added some gems to my image panel as well.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful week!

Merry Christmas Snowman

Hi there friends!  I know, it's been ages since I posted on here and I've been saying I'm going to get this back up and going but haven't yet.

I've been having some fun making some holiday cards for an order, and since I had them out just have kept on making some to send out.

This card I used the Freshly Made Sketches #464 along with one of my most favorite images from Paper Smooches.  I colored him with some winter colors and added a few gems to the paper and his scarf to give him some flare and mounted him on some Echo Park Christmas paper.  The sentiment is from the CZDesign Sentiment Strip.

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter

Yesterday while hubby was working and kids were keeping themselves entertained I decided to sit down to create some cards and finish binge-watching Northern Rescue on Netfix.

I always love creating a few cards at a time, either with the same layout/design or using the same pack of patterned paper.  As I was digging through my sketches I came across these sketches from Julee Tilman and decided to give it a whirl and have to say it's a few of my favorite cards I've made in a while and I kept them embellishment free which was hard to do for me.

I grabbed a few pieces of patterned paper from My Minds Eye Now & Then and some kraft and pink pirouette paper to compliment it.  I started off by cutting all my paper pieces and die cutting my shapes.  Broke out the new stamps that I just got from Butterfly Reflections-Avery Elle's Easter Chicks.

I apologize for my horrible picture taking abilities these days-it's pure laziness in not wanting to take out on all the photo equipment.

Hope you enjoy a little happiness today!

Joy

This is the last card I've got scheduled for my Christmas sharing...although I possibly could create some more to post-we'll see how inspired I get.

I used the FUSION challenge sketch for this card.  I love how I finally am using up some Rub-ons I bought probably 2 years ago (maybe it was just last year)...but it makes me feel great to finally use stuff I've had sitting around for awhile with a purpose in mind.

I know we are looking for a joyous holiday season with our family this year.

Happy Holidays

Moving right along with another set of Christmas cards using a variety of patterned papers and inspired by a card from Julee Tillman as seen below.  I love every detail of her card and think it loved the paper pieced vase for the flowers...and I love how it translated into a Christmas card.

Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings!

Merry Christmas Tree

How you can enjoy Christmas without some tinsel on the tree?

I went a little non-traditional with this tree color by  paper piecing it with some Carta Bella Winter Fun cardstock and did some embossing with the sentiment.

The tree design has some blank stripes through it so I added some Xmas Red stickles through it to give it a "tinsel" look.

Merry Christmas Wreaths

A simple Christmas card-had this grand idea to make the floral wreath into a Christmas one and the flowers into ornaments.

I think if I were to create them again I would do a few things differently-but still like the overall idea.  I saw a sketch from Studio Calico that I thought would look great with this set.

Happy Bird*day

The first sketch I used above was with Operation Write Home #236 and the one below uses #221 Sketch.

I dove into some neglected Stampin' Up! Stamps to use on my one below and really left it plain with no embellishments other than the stickles on it.

The one above, one of my favorite stamps and sentiments.  Love coloring this image and know it will be a fun birthday card for someone.

Season's Greetings

Are you ready for the holidays yet?  Me neither!!!  I never seem to be prepared for it.

But...I do have some cards made which is a step in the right direction.

Using up some more of my patterned paper I like how this card turned out.  Originally I was going to use the circle as a flower but thought...why not add a base and make it a tree.

Hard to see in my photo my I added some paper piercing above the patterned paper strips.

Hope this helps get you in the holiday spirit!

Merry Christmas

I am having such a great time getting back into my stamping and using all this patterned paper-I've created 16 Christmas cards last weekend, 4 sets of 4 different designs).

For my cute little paper pieced snowman I wanted him to appear as a polaroid and with my theme of using little embellishments I only chose to use some twine and then added some pearls to my sentiment strip.  I also stamped it again on my patterned paper and paper pieced the scarf on my snowdude.

I'm joining in this month with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge which is anything goes.

Hope you enjoy seeing my Christmas cards-now to see if I'll mail any of them out.

My Coolest Friend

Trying to break out some of those Christmas stamps and get a few in my stash.

I got these stamps at the Archiver's store closing and hadn't used them yet-so decided they needed to be inked up.

I used last week's Retro Sketches challenge for this.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me this week!

BC355: Use 2 or more patterned papers

Happy Friday, Happy Valentine's Day, Happy Birthday to my beloved hubby!!!
Hope you are staying warm where ever you may be-we are finally melting away here in GA and I'll be so glad when Spring rolls around the corner and baseball season starts.

First I'm going to start off with a card the kids are giving their Dad for his birthday/Valentine.  I saw this card on SCS and wanted to do something similar...love how it turned out!

I took the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journal card die to cut out my card layer and then used the hearts to make a pattern on the card.  I adhered some different colored card stock onto the inside.

Card details:
Stamps: Avery Elle-Oh Happy Day
Cardstock: Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black
Embellishments: sequins, Lawn Fawn Stitched Journal die

My next card is for this weeks Blogger's Challenge which is to use 2 or more patterned papers.  This was super easy for me to do, I love using patterned paper.

This was actually a card I hadn't posted to my blog yet but that I had made awhile ago.  I really liked how simple it was to create.

I don't remember exactly what sets I used, but know that I used some Authentique papers for it.

Hope you will join us over at Blogger's Challenge this week!

Tiles2Stamp

I have to say that I love The {Stamps} of Life sets, I love creating with them...but this set is OVER THE TOP AWESOME!!!

I absolutely had a creative time with them and was on a roll.  I love all the possibilities of this tile set!!

Hope you like the variety of cards, I've already got a little holiday stash going on, which is out of the norm for me.

I'm usually last minute Betty when it comes to creating Christmas cards, so when I saw this tile set I thought that a Christmas card would look pretty cool with it.  What do you think?

Card details:
Stamps: Tiles2Stamp, and Lights4Christmas from The {Stamps} of Life
Card Stock: Confetti White, Real Red, Basic Black, Glorious Green
Inks: Color Box by Stephanie Barnard in Licorice, Strawberry and Spearmint
Embellishments: Basic Grey enamel dots

My bows need some practice, this one took me forever!  The patterned to fill in the tiles give you so many options on how you want to create your card.  Whether it's the whole background on the card, or just a strip, these tiles are great.

Card details:
Stamps: Tiles2Stamp from The {Stamps} of Life
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Tempting Turquoise
Inks: Color Box by Stephanie Barnard in Chocolate, Temping Turquoise
Embellishments: Chocolate Chip ribbon

I broke out my paper crimper for this one to create the little strip below the twine.  With the border pattern I wanted to add a little more to it, so I colored in the overlapping rectangles in black.

Card details:
Stamps: Tiles2Stamp and Snails2mail from The {Stamps} of Life
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pool Party So Saffron
Inks: Color Box by Stephanie Barnard in Licorice, Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Pool Party
Embellishments: Black twine, paper crimper

Merry Christmas

A few more Christmas cards to share...and of course I have zero details written down and they are already off.

The first card I used a snowflake cut from my Silhouette.  I was trying to create some simple cards for my husband's work, and wanted a little variety of colors and designs.

For the card below I again used my Silhouette to cute the tree and adhered some glitter paper behind it.

Hope you all are ready for Christmas, I still have a few gifts to get and my cards to mail, baking to be done and I'm not even done decorating yet.  I haven't seen much of my stamp space but hoping to get a few teacher's gifts whipped up along with some cake balls this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.
