Variety of Fun

While doing a facetime chat with my friend Vicki Garrett from Summerthyme Studio a few weekends ago we were talking about all the crafty stuff we collect and I mentioned my 6 x 6 paper stash.  I love the one-sheet wonders, and of course, if you visit my blog you know I love card sketches.  I was looking for more along the one-sheet wonder line for 6 x 6 cards and Vicki mentioned this youtube channel by Call Me Craft Al.

The next day I was watching video after video of hers and started creating like crazy using up some of my stash of 6 x 6 papers.  I was creating sets of 6 cards in most cases, so I built up a stash quite quickly.  I tried to change up my sentiments or leave them blank to add in later

Hope you enjoy the creations I made, I kept them pretty simple not using too many embellishments, if any at all.

I changed up these cards a little from the original sketch based on the tags and sentiment I was using

If you have any questions about the supplies used, let me know.  I wasn't great about jotting down what I was using at the time.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Happy Easter

Yesterday while hubby was working and kids were keeping themselves entertained I decided to sit down to create some cards and finish binge-watching Northern Rescue on Netfix.

I always love creating a few cards at a time, either with the same layout/design or using the same pack of patterned paper.  As I was digging through my sketches I came across these sketches from Julee Tilman and decided to give it a whirl and have to say it's a few of my favorite cards I've made in a while and I kept them embellishment free which was hard to do for me.

I grabbed a few pieces of patterned paper from My Minds Eye Now & Then and some kraft and pink pirouette paper to compliment it.  I started off by cutting all my paper pieces and die cutting my shapes.  Broke out the new stamps that I just got from Butterfly Reflections-Avery Elle's Easter Chicks.

I apologize for my horrible picture taking abilities these days-it's pure laziness in not wanting to take out on all the photo equipment.

Hope you enjoy a little happiness today!

Building Blocks Duo

Sharing a few more cards I created using the Building Blocks Sketch Challenge.  This card uses sketch #1.

Again, trying to use up some of my patterned papers and keeping some cards pretty simple.
I love the ability to combine different stamp sets with these sketches.

For my card above I used the Poppy Birthday set from Verve and the Birthday Sampler set from Paper Smooches.

BC355: Use 2 or more patterned papers

Happy Friday, Happy Valentine's Day, Happy Birthday to my beloved hubby!!!
Hope you are staying warm where ever you may be-we are finally melting away here in GA and I'll be so glad when Spring rolls around the corner and baseball season starts.

First I'm going to start off with a card the kids are giving their Dad for his birthday/Valentine.  I saw this card on SCS and wanted to do something similar...love how it turned out!

I took the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journal card die to cut out my card layer and then used the hearts to make a pattern on the card.  I adhered some different colored card stock onto the inside.

Card details:
Stamps: Avery Elle-Oh Happy Day
Cardstock: Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black
Embellishments: sequins, Lawn Fawn Stitched Journal die

My next card is for this weeks Blogger's Challenge which is to use 2 or more patterned papers.  This was super easy for me to do, I love using patterned paper.

This was actually a card I hadn't posted to my blog yet but that I had made awhile ago.  I really liked how simple it was to create.

I don't remember exactly what sets I used, but know that I used some Authentique papers for it.

Hope you will join us over at Blogger's Challenge this week!
