Talk4Phone

Oh, I'm having so much fun playing with this new set from The {Stamps} of Life called Talk4Phone.  Quote bubbles are in on creations and there are some cute ones in this set alone with a blank bubble that you can write your own stuff in.

For my first card, I went a little out of my comfort zone and got a little dirty with some silver shimmer spritz from Tsukineko.

The chevron stamps are from the Quick2Border set.  I love, love, love how this turned out!!!  I think this is one I could make multiple cards of.

Warm Thoughts

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Insects or Animals". 

This weekend I actually accomplished some stamping and got a few cards done for the next few weeks.  Of course I always aspire to do more than I set out to, but failed at that this weekend just getting done what was needed.

For my card, I combined it with a new fun challenge called Fusion Card Challenge which you can do either/or both challenges.  I decided to try my hand at combining the two.

My top background I scored some stripes onto my razzleberry paper using my Scor-pal and kept the bottom white part clean and crisp.  My image is embossed using black embossing powder and I added a few rhinestones to give it a little more "umph".

Birthday Bouquet for Kristen

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Flower Power". 

My birthday card is a shout out to our Going Grey with Scrap-Creations owner and my good friend, Kristen as it's her birthday today.  Happy Birthday my friend!

 I'm not going to lie to you, I love flowers but this one was hard for me as I has been trying to combine my friend Jeanne's Mix-ability challenge on SCS to hand cut circle flowers.  I cut out about 3 different sets of different flowers and nothing was coming together like I wanted it to.

Finally, this weekend while browsing the color challenges I came across the current Dynamic Duo's color challenge and decided some patterned paper flowers would work well.  The flowers are some of my My Mind's Eye Ruby patterned paper and I drew my stems and leaves on myself.  I had some ribbon scraps and added that to my bouquet.

The sentiment is from Sweet Stamp Shop's Simple Sentiments set. (try saying that multiple times)

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Easter".  My card doesn't have the Easter greeting, but it has an Easter theme with this cute little "bunnies".  This is one of my favorite images, just love the little peeps peeking out of the basket.

Kept my card very CAS this week,  using a solid paper from one of my paper packs as my background and used a small piece of May Arts Woven Burlap as my "tab".

Never Give Up

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is to use our Favorite Embellishment.  My favorite these days are pearls and rhinestones.  I can't seem to get enough of those and have a variety of colors in them.  I love that you can just get a clear color as well and color them with your copic markers to match whatever color you may need.

This is a simple layout in which I used some patterned paper from Teresa Collins and went with the butterfly theme as my focal point.

Thinking of You

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are "Going Green".

I pulled out some of my olive card stock to create my card with.  I decided that I should use some more of my floral stamps to go with my theme from this weekend.

This set is the Budding Blossoms set from Verve Stamps and the insides are colored with a copic marker.  Nothing fancy.

This uses the sketch from the LOVEFEST2013B sponsored by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Originally the banners were blank but then at the last minute decided they were missing "something".  Going through my stash I came across some rub-ons to use from SU.

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are playing some BINGO.

Choose which ever direction suits you and create something with all 3 elements in your BINGO.  I choose to use the top 3 across the grid on my card (Glitter, Flowers & Ribbon).

I've had this set from Flourishes for quite awhile and had not inked it up yet.  This challenge was the perfect one to break it out.  I searched for colors of poppies online and found one that really struck my eye and it was a burnt orange one.

GGSC143: Happiness

Trying to get back into the swing of things and starting 2013 off on the right foot.  Today is the first challenge of the year over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.  We have changed our challenges to twice a month now, so you have a little more time to play along with us.

Our first challenge is Something New.  I didn't have much new stuff yet (you know, I haven't blown all my gift cards...yet).  But, I did order a few new designer paper packs before the holidays and hadn't broke into any of them yet.

This paper is from the Sn@p Life pack from Simple Stories.  I got this to go with my Project Life album, thinking it would work well in there.

I only added a simple sentiment from the Treasured Words set from Verve stamps and a few embellishments.

Joy Fill Your Heart

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are wishing you a "Merry Christmas" and looking forward to seeing what you create with this theme.

I played with my Silhouette last week and wanted to create a card with this beautiful snowflake and I love the non-traditional colors for the holidays.  

I haven't created as many Christmas cards as I would have liked and I haven't even started making gifts for teachers, but last night I did come up with some ideas so I'm sure you'll be seeing them around here soon.  What about you?  Do you make your Christmas cards and gifts?

GGSC139: Giving Thanks

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are Giving Thanks.  

For my card I used the FTL214 layout and was using this color scheme on some other cards I was creating (to be shared later in the week) so kept with using up some of my scraps.

The flowers were created by cutting out a few various size circles and distressing the edges.  The leaves are created by using the Happy Holly-days set from Our Craft Lounge and cutting them out and using my dry embossing tool to create an indent.

I received this awesome woven burlap in natural tan from I {Heart} Papers (the burlap is May Arts) and thought it would be perfect on this card.  Gives it a nice fall feel.

Finishing off the card are the pearl centers and the sentiment from Treasured Words (Verve).

GGSC137: Pop It Up

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is POP IT UP.

For my cards, I used the Flip-It dies from Sizzix Movers & Shakers Square Die for Stephanie Barnard to create my POP.  Love how you can decorate both sides of the card so when you open it, the middle POPS out.

Hope you are able to see how they work from the photos, the cards were a little difficult to photograph until I figured out a good way to do it.

My first card uses the Trees4Christmas set from The {Stamps} of Life. I love this set and think I'll be using it for a lot of my holiday cards this year.  The tree has several different designs to choose from and I love the circle sentiments.  I used some liquid pearls in Petal Pink for my dots on the trees and the trim uses the Wavy Die Set.  You'll see on my card below I used the negative of the cut on my card.

I went with a Spring theme on this card using the Bunny4Easter set and the Sizzix Movers & Shapers Fancy Label set.

For my last card I used the Thanks2You set and created my own background paper with my stamps on this one.

Halloween: BOO!

I'm sorry, I way behind on my posting today for the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge which is a Halloween theme.  I've been creating lots of Halloween stuff this year and so I decided to pull out my Silhouette and re-create a cool bat favor I saw on Laurie Schmidlin's blog last week.

I changed it up just a little bit by decorating the front of my bat instead of having the "wings" in the back of it.  It was easy to do and I love how it turned out...and I even used some older paper I had in my stash.  I'm also entering this in the Cameo Spotlight Challenge #6 which is a Halloween theme.

My second Halloween share was created for the Dynamic Duo Challenge to use pumpkin pie and black.

Enjoy Every Minute

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are breaking out the leaves and celebrating fall.  Show us your creations using leaves.

I picked up a new set when I was at the stamp show this weekend called Leaflets from Clear & Simple Stamps.  I love the rustic look of these leaves.  

These colors use the current The Paper Players challenge of night of navy, bravo burgundy, cajun craze and very vanilla.  I didn't have cajun craze so I used really rust instead.

I'm trying to keep up with the challenges at Hope You Can Cling To at SCS but have some catching up to do.  This is for Dina's challenge to use a song for inspiration so I used Tom Wait's "Last Leaf" as mine.

You're the Pick of the Patch

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is Pumpkins.  Last week I shared a short, stumpy carrot I created on my Silhouette Cameo and this week I've converted it over to what it's supposed to be and that's a pumpkin.

Of course I couldn't go without creating a cute little card to go with it.  I pulled out my Halloween Cube 2 from Stampotique Originals and masked several of the pumpkins across my card.  I colored them with my copics and then applied Crystal Lacquer over all of them.

The sentiment I pieced together from my Clear & Simple Stamps Icon Sentiments set.  What a perfect sentiment for all my pumpkins.

My card/pumpkin also is for the Gallery Challenge over at Paper Crafts Connection which is all about Halloween.

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Food".  Now who doesn't love some good food stamps?  Mine seem to be of the sweet variety though :-)

I pulled out an old stamp of mine from The Cat's Pajamas as I love this cake.  It's not as easy to color as I thought it would be though.  I used my copic markers on it and then applied some glossy accents over the cake part of it.  I cut it out and popped it up on some dimensionals.

This sketch is from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #168 which I was trying to use up some washi tape but ended up using more of the patterned paper instead.

I collected all this washi tape but never use it.  Wondering if I picked the wrong patterns/colors to work with even though I went with ones I liked?  Any great creations you like using washi tape, would love to see them?

For my card I used Pearls, a Die Cut and Seam Binding/Ribbon (hope that passes).  

I pulled out a favorite set of mine from Verve Stamps called Great Friend.  I just adore the flowers in this set and love coloring them and layering them.

I also used the Deconstructed Sketch which I took a little liberty with by eliminating the scallop and just using the seam binding and I turned the sketch on it's side.

This card I have in mind for a friend at work as I know she'll get a good laugh out of it.  I started off being inspired by the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge and I went for a very CAS looking card.  The background is a paint sample which I cut down a little and layered on some chocolate card stock.
