From Courtney's Closet Challenge #58 & Clean & Simple

I have been so busy this week with work and next week is going to be crazy with work and then my parents coming up to visit. I'm looking forward to it, but it always seems to fly by so fast.

I had a few minutes to stamp, well actually I had more Friday night but for the life of me couldn't get up enough energy to stamp either Friday night or Saturday night. Guess the old age is catching up with me!

I'm headed out town for work so have a few things scheduled to post in the next few days. This card was created using one of the From Courtney's Closet Challenge- I absolutely *love* the colors in her outfit!!! Isn't she such a cutie?? It was combined with a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping site. My sketch is a little off, but pretty close.

Hope you all are having a great week!

You're so Sweet

Wish I had time to write more about this card, I had fun making it, but it's off to football, then football pictures, then to see G-Force for a birthday party, then a few girls over to get crafty.

From Courtney's Closet Challenge & LPS Sketch Challenge

It's been weeks since I've been able to participate in my buddy's challenge. When I saw her playdate this week, I couldn't resist playing. This card was created for the From Courtney's Closet Challenge this week. How can you resist the awesome colors of this dress?

This came together like a breeze for me and I love when I'm able to do that! I combined this challenge with one of Little Paper Shop's sketches created by one of my favorite blogger's Allison.

Hope you enjoy the bright colors of my card and if you feel so inclined join in Courtney's challenge we'd love to see what you create!

From Courtney's Closet Challenge Anniversary & Monday Mojo

Nothing like getting in right in the knick of time huh? I have had a window open for From Courtney's Closet Challenge Anniversary since May 21rst and I'm now just doing it...and it's due by 9 p.m. today. I liked a lot of the pictures of Courtney but ultimately it was the colors of her bib and her shirt underneath that drew me in.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this card which is also for a Monday Mailer that I was set to do this month and completely forgot about it. Nothing like forgetting and then really having a hard time finding a current SU set to use (and I have 3 more weeks to go as well). Hope my partner likes flowers a lot as that seems to be the only ones I have left.

I used Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose (by far my favorite pink color) and Chocolate Chip for my cardstock and inks. I added some 5/8" chocolate ribbon as well as some regal rose grosgrain. I colored my flowers with markers and after taking the picture think I'm going to add some Crystal Effects to them. My little flower was cut out and I added a rhinestone brad (just the rhinestone part) to the inside of my flower. I love the brads but can never get them to lay just right without ruining where they are supposed to be so I always seem to take the rhinestone out of them and apply them with a pop dot. (stamp set: Simply Said).

Well, congrats Libby on the anniversary of From Courtney's Closet Challenge. I can't wait to see some more cute outfits from Courtney.

Bloggers Challenge 97: Sketch

This week Lisa challenged us to use this sketch. Right up my alley, clean, straight lines. I knew exactly what I was going to do with this one and it came together quite nicely.

I combined it with my buddy Libby's From Courtney's Closet Challenge. Libby has challenged me in more ways than one with her outfits and color challenges!

I've been having a great week!! I just was asked to return to Clear & Simple Stamps as a Guest Designer through mid-June and am excited about the opportunity. Make sure to check out all their awesome stamps and keep an eye out for more details for their DT coming soon.

This sketch is sure to produce some fabulous works of art from the others participating in the blogger's challenge which you can view here. Or join in the fun and post your creations to any of our blogs, SCS or PCP with keyword BC97.

Welcome to the Jungle

Inspired by Guns'N'Roses and Courtney's Closet Challenge. Ha ha! I'm listening to Classic Rewind on Sirius while stamping and this song came on...though it the perfect title for this card.

This is a pretty basic card, no bells & whistles to it, but I like the scene I created for it. This sketch was based on Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge and the card was based off Courtney's Closet Challenge as well. Isn't Courtney just a little doll baby, so adorable?

Card Details:

From Courtney's Closet Challenge/Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

This card took way too long and then when it was said and done, I realized that my focal image was too big so I had to redo it. Oh well, some cards just don't always go as planned.

I combined a new sketch challenge I came across today from Karen Giron and fell in love with her site and the clean lines of her cards. I figured I'd give it a try and see how I did. I managed but could have done a better card :-) I also finally got a chance to participate in a challenge I love but have been totally slacking in participating in and that's From Courtney's Closet Challenge. I love the colors Courtney is wearing and wish I had some patience to find patterned paper to coordinate with her outfit for this card.

Hope you enjoy the card. My husband is helping me with some new ways with my photos (old to others) so I'm slow going but I like the effect it has.

Card Details:
Stamp Set: Bodacious Bouquet, Small Sayings
Inks: Cool Carribean, Buckaroo Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, white ribbon dyed with buckaroo blue, word window punch, scallop punch

Join us to win some birthday celebration candy!

Happy Belated Birthday Courtney!

From Courtney's Closet Challenge

I got an itch to stamp today so decided to whip out a few cards. I loved the colors in Courtney's dress so decided to try this challenge.

I have to say I think it's only the 2nd time I've broke out my Wild Wasabi ink pad. Pretty sad since it's now retiring!!!

Hope you enjoy my creations. I also incorporated some sketch challenges in here. The first one with the flower and stem is based off Natasha's Fall to Layout #5 . My other card with the circles is based a little off Ashley Bowen's Brain Wave Challenge #12 except I used all the same size circles.

Stamp Set: Joy by My Sentiments Exactly
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Inks: same as cardstock, Craft White
Accessories: Hodge Podge Hardware (pewter), 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop punch, white grosgrain ribbon, chocolate chip ribbon unknown, dimensionals
