Blogger's Challenge this week was a sketch that our list Mom, Lisa created for us. At first look I thought I might be too challenged with the size of the sketch card. It's not the "normal" size card I do, so I just decided to sit down and go with it.
I chose to rotate the sketch and combined it with the Playdate Cafe Challenge this week of using green & melon. I followed the DT's lead on that challenge and went with the holiday theme.
I chose a pretty simple image, using Mr. Snow and paper piecing his tie with some Jovial design paper from Basic Grey. I decided not to color any of it and just let his tie stand out but now that I look at it, I may color his hat and nose to make him POP a little more. I stamped my background with some snowflakes from the Winter set in Berry Sorbet to create a contrasting background to the Green papers. I sewed around the green/Jovial panel-I'm so happy to have my sewing machine in order again!
Hope you will check out the rest of the blogger's today and see how they used the sketch. You can see their links here.
Happy Friday!
