This week Lisa issued the blogger's a sketch challenge-right up my alley! I even waited until last night to start it...okay, I just haven't done a whole lot of blog stamping this week, but I have been doing some swap stamping. I haven't done that in AGES.
I received a few goodies from a fun game I participated in over at Through the Craftroom Door a few weeks ago and decided to use one of my new images, Edwin with Lizard for this sketch. He was the perfect size and although I will admit that I have avoided Magnolia images for years, he sure was fun to color!
One of my favorite papers, the Max & Whiskers from Basic Grey worked really well with this image although I wish I had colored the lizard a little greener. My husband is always telling me we never have birthday cards for boys when we go to birthday parties so hopefully he'll be happy to see a "boy" birthday card. I even finished the inside of the card to make it look all purty :-)
Joins us at the blogger's challenge and link up your card to a gallery or your blog using keyword BC167. We'd love to see what you create using this sketch.

I was thinking 'Lizard, what lizard?' Then I saw him!! I thought that was a scarf at first as it was the last place I was looking for a LIZARD!!!
Brilliant masculine card... love it.
Great boy card. The plaid papers and colors are great. It's not too youthful, but just right for a pre-teen boy.

I totally agree about the Magnolias. I do not own any, but when stamping friends get together I stamped some off because they are so much FUN to color, LOL! So I imagine my blog will be getting its Magnolia debut sometime soon! LOVE the way you implemented the sketch, those jumbo eyelets are perfect for a boy card, very masculine along with that plaid. The inside is NOT purty!!! This is a BOY card, the inside is very good looking indeed but NOT purty! ;-)
What a great boy card! I'm not a creepy crawly critter person but that image and how you colored it makes them pretty cool!
Kim you rocked this challenge I love the Lizard boy image...he is too cute.
