This week our challenge was to use the layout on the front cover of the SAB catalog (Happy Birthday card). I knew what set I wanted to use and I used a lot of ideas from
Annieht on SCS with the set I wanted to use. She had a great look to her card using the paper piecing.
Unfortunately I had to make another sympathy card for a friend who's father just passed away. It was not only sad for her but for our family as well as he was my in-laws lifelong friends and my hubby grew up with them. Since hubby and I have been married, I have become good friends with their daughter so my heart broke when I heard the news of her father passing. I'm glad that she was able to get back out to see him and spend some time with him just shortly before this happened.
