Bla Bla Bla

Kaz is our hostess this week for our next challenge at Stampotique Designer's Challenge
and here is what she wants you to get creative doing:

"I love using circles on things I make, as you may have noticed. If I get stuck for an idea, I generally start with a circle to help me out. I'd like you to use 3 circles on whatever you make this week. Just make sure you have fun!"

For my card I used 3 Smiles for my card.  I first sprayed my IMAGINE Crafts® Fireworks!™ Craft Spray in London Fog, Grape Jelly, Potters Clay and Bamboo Leaves and then finished it off by spraying it with the IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray in Clear (see close up above for the texture this gives your card)

Hope you will join us at Stampotique Designer's Challenge for your chance to win a chance at $30 gift card for Stampotique stamps.

Missing You

Our challenge over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge is from Jane and here's what her challenge was:

Jane here asking you to use any shades of purple, orange and yellow together on your creation for this new Stampotique challenge!   I love color and these really talk to me. :)  Hope you will join us in making this Stampotique challenge one of the most colorful challenges yet!  Can't wait to see these colorful creations popping out all over blog-land in purples, oranges and yellows :)  After all..Summer is suppose to be hot and colorful right?

For my card I took a few of my IMAGINE Crafts® Fireworks!™ Craft Sprays in Grape Jelly, Lulu Lavendar and Potter's Clay and sprayed them on my card base.

Once they were dry, I stamped my Village stamp 10010 from Stampotique in IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink in Tuxedo Black.

I colored the roofs of the houses with my copic markers and to add a little more, I used the Wild Honey Distress Stain daubers to highlight some light coming through the windows.

The top of my card needed a little something so I stamped the Sun, Moon and Clouds stamp 3026 in the upper left hand corner and also used the daubers on this.

As the finishing touch I sprayed some IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray in Shimmer on the whole card and typed my sentiment on my typewriter.

Hope you will join us over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge this week for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate for stamps.

Birthday Hibiscus

Happy Monday!

Well, I'd love to say Monday's are a breeze here, but it's always difficult getting the kids going and today was no exception.

I sat at my desk multiple times this weekend, but most of the time just sat and looked at many inspiring stampers instead of stamping myself.  I did manage to get excited enough to stamp one card, and that was because Jen is back with her Sketch for you to Try over at Reverse Confetti.

I do not have any of the cute Reverse Confetti stamps (yet) so I worked with my Verve sets to create this card along with some of my washi tape stash.

Hope your Monday is going well and you have a fabulous week!

Transparent Wings

Today over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge, Libby has challenged us to use something clear.  Well, I had done this and then thought...hmmm, it's not exactly transparent, but it's darn close.

I created my background by spraying my white cardstock with IMAGINE Crafts® Fireworks!™ Craft Spray in Potter's Clay and Rhubarb Stalk and then some IMAGINE Crafts® Sheer Shimmer Spritz™ Craft Spray in Copper over the Chequered Dots stencil from Dylusions.

I stamped Minky Girl on some white cardstock and colored her in, then stamped Lovely Wings on some vellum and colored behind it with my copic markers.  I finished it off with the Bla Bla sentiment.

Hope you will join us over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge this week and show us our transparent creations.

Embrace Happiness

This weekend my studio only saw me once, and it wasn't for very long...just enough to squeak out a few cards which was perfect for me.

I haven't played along at the Play Date Cafe in a long time so wanted to create as I loved the current color combination.

I began by created my background paper by spraying it with IMAGINE Crafts® Fireworks!™ Craft Spray in New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.

I thought the  Bursting Blooms from AMuse stamps would look great with this color combination and I was not disappointed.

Hope you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend and that your week is fabulous.

SDC100: Anything Goes

This is Kim here and I'm excited to get to hostess this week over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge as it's our 100th challenge.  This week is super easy for you all-ANYTHING GOES.  I find myself creating a lot for the wonderful design teams I'm a part of but once in awhile I just like to play a bit and create for no reason at all other than to participate in some of my favorite color, sketch or theme challenges.

So create with ANYTHING in mind this week and can't wait to see!

For my card, I tried some of my new IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray to create my background (hard to see in the photo).  I do love this stuff and the texture it creates.

I picked this darling image, the Queen of Hearts as my focal point and then I wanted to add a sentiment and a little something else so my card didn't look too bare.

Hope you will jump on over to the Stampotique Designer's Challenge and join us with your creations!

Happy Birthday Bicycle!

Today is my little brother's birthday...well, I can still call him that because he is younger than I am :-)
Happy Birthday Jim!
(seriously hope he doesn't see this as I haven't given him his card yet LOL)

He loves bike riding and so I pulled out my Old Fashioned Afternoon set to use for this quick and easy card.  The Retro Sketches challenge was used on this card and I let the paper do most of the work.

Talk4Phone

Oh, I'm having so much fun playing with this new set from The {Stamps} of Life called Talk4Phone.  Quote bubbles are in on creations and there are some cute ones in this set alone with a blank bubble that you can write your own stuff in.

For my first card, I went a little out of my comfort zone and got a little dirty with some silver shimmer spritz from Tsukineko.

The chevron stamps are from the Quick2Border set.  I love, love, love how this turned out!!!  I think this is one I could make multiple cards of.

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Mother's Day".

I created a card using my favorite floral set from The {Stamps} of Life called Mums2Stamp combined with a sentiment from the new Talk4Phone set.

This week's Paper Player's Challenge is also a Mother's Day theme that I'm playing along with.  Of course after I finished this card, I decided to go back and add "MOM" onto the top above the burlap with my Alpha4Fayleen stamp.

Hope you will join us with your Mother's Day creations over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.

Thank You

This weekend was rainy and crummy, which meant all our sports got cancelled.  I had a little time to myself yesterday and I got to create a little.

This card is for the current CAS-ual Friday's challenge, which is their 100th challenge and is a tic-tac-toe challenge.  I chose the middle row going across which was square card, bling and text.

Now, where's the bling?  Well, the background on my card is sprayed with IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray (Shimmer) and my flowers are sprayed with IMAGINE Crafts® Sheer Shimmer Spritz™ Craft Spray (Silver).  It's very hard to see in the photos, but if you click on the close up above you can see it better.  The texture spray adds so much to the background papers, love it!

Hope your week is starting off on the right foot for you!

Good Notes

*please see below for The {Stamps} of Life new release*

Polly is our hostess this week over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge and here's her challenge:

I love Pink, whether it's a bright fushcia pink or a pretty rose pink - and teamed up with Turquoise well, they sure do make a bold statement!! This colour combination creates a bright, cheerful and a beautiful feminine palette that also reminds me of the 1980's and what a fab decade that was for music!! So break out the pinks, turquoises and not forgetting a splash of black and white and join in with this weeks challenge.

I stepped out of my comfort zone again this week by using some sprays on my background.  I'm not a "messy" stamper at all but I love how this came out and I've got some fun new products to play with.

I stamped my image before spraying on the background and then I used my versamark pen to emboss inside the flower petals.

Come join us over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge for your chance to win a $30 gift certificate for stamps.

Warm Thoughts

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "Insects or Animals".

This weekend I actually accomplished some stamping and got a few cards done for the next few weeks.  Of course I always aspire to do more than I set out to, but failed at that this weekend just getting done what was needed.

For my card, I combined it with a new fun challenge called Fusion Card Challenge which you can do either/or both challenges.  I decided to try my hand at combining the two.

My top background I scored some stripes onto my razzleberry paper using my Scor-pal and kept the bottom white part clean and crisp.  My image is embossed using black embossing powder and I added a few rhinestones to give it a little more "umph".

Hope you will join us over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations this week.
