Blogger's Challenge: Die Cuts or Punches

This week our challenge was to focus on die cuts or punches. I decided since I don't have too many pretty punches I would use my Peony nestabilities.

I made this card pretty quickly, it's pretty simple as usual ;-) I ran all the peony nestabilities through my cuttlebug on 2 different pieces of dsp. I think sprayed them with my mini mister and crumpled them up. I let them dry just a little bit and then ran my Papertrey Ink Chai & Raspberry Sorbet ink pads over to give it a little more of a worn look.

I love this ribbon treatment that I learned from Sharon Johnson and think it would have looked better if I had a smaller image, but it works for me. The little sentiment stamp I used was from a Studio G clear stamp set.

Make sure to check out all the other challengers this week by clicking here.

Have a good weekend! I'm looking forward to some creative time with a few friends tomorrow night, hoping to get a lot accomplished (which usually NEVER happens).

Twisted Thursday Challenge #3

I started this card last week but never got around to finishing it as I got sick and tried to stay out of the stamp room and get myself better. Unfortunately, I'm still hacking away and pretty hoarse, but feeling much better!

This image was a free download last week for Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday Challenge. Being the blonde that I am...I didn't even pay attention there was a sketch to follow. I did add hardware which was the *twist* so oh well! I still had fun using the digital image and pulling some more paper out of my stash to use.

Card details:
Stamp sets: Digital Image by Shirleys 2 Girls, sentiment from Studio G
Cardstock: Bordering Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, SEI Beatnik Pants & Boy Mini Dots
Inks: Copics & Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, Scallop punch, hardware unknown

Beate's WSC#30

Stamp Set: Changito Pair by Stampendous, Sentiment by Studio G
Cardstock: Basic Grey Phresh & Funky, Old Olive, Brilliant Blue, Pretty in Pink, Watercolor Paper
Inks: Versafine Ink Pad, Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink, Brilliant Blue, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Circle punch, scallop punch

I participated in Beate's weekend sketch challenge and had fun doing this. Very simple card with no additional accesories other than punches. I wanted to add more but wasn't sure where to add it on to.

ETA: DUH, this was last weeks challenge. I can't share this weeks yet as it's also my blogger's challenge card. Thanks Beate for pointing it out for me!

Blogger Challenge, Week #19

This week our challenge was to use lots of embellishments on our project. While I usually use embellishments, it's usually only 1 or so. I tried to use a few different ones on here, but still didn't overdo it. I also combined this weeks color challenge on SCS which at first I didn't care for, but the more I saw others using it the more I liked it.

Stamp Set: Stipple Celebration, Studio G clear stamp sentiment

Colors: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, So Saffron, Whisper White, Basic Black

Accessories: Ribbon, Bold Bright Eyelets, Metal corner frames (source unknown)

Make sure to check out the other challengers on the sidebar to the right.

Thanks and hope all had a Happy Halloween!
