Today over at Blogger's Challenge (where I've been slacking the last few weeks) we are Embossing.
I've had this background sitting on my desk for a week or so and thought it might work with the image I wanted to color. I used the Crocheted Poppy image from Our Daily Bread Designs and colored it with my copics and then applied several layers of clear embossing powder over it. Once I had several layers on it, I put it in the freezer for a few minutes and then cracked it.
The original image has a crocheted border to it, but I opted to die cut just the circle and use the Crocheted Circle Die with it instead.
I wanted a bold sentiment with it as I also embossed this with black embossing powder and used the Phrases2Say set from The {Stamps} of Life.
Hope you will join us at Blogger's Challenge and show off your embossing skills (any embossing).
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Super pretty! That background is fabulous and the Cracked Glass technique always has a "wow" look to it. Love the poppy stamp too.
Kim, that is really pretty! I love the background....how exactly did you do it? And the poppy stamp on the crocheted circle is so pretty. All so bold and striking....right up my alley!
