I initially was stumped with the theme for this week's Blogger's Challenge. Christmas ornaments. I wanted to do something different and this was NOT what I was going to do, but I'm so happy that I changed direction.
First I started to create a poinsettia, but it wasn't quite looking real enough for me so the night before last I set it aside and stared at it the whole next day wondering how I could make it work. When I decided it wasn't going to work, I dug into one of my files that has some die cuts and came across this cute little crayon box from Creative Cuts and More. The light bulb went off!!!
It's the perfect size for little ATC/Trading cards and so why not create a little box to hang from the tree to put the kids notes to Santa in? I actually went one step further as I had just gotten a bunch of photos from Shutterfly and had a wood block sitting on my desk. I decided to write a letter to Santa from Sydney on it and include one of her pictures on the back. I love how it turned out.
I can't wait to see what the other blogger's created this week, wonder if they were stumped at all in creating. You can see their creations here.
