BC193: Reuse, Recycle

Finally back into the swing of things around here.  I enjoyed a few days off this week and am looking forward to having today off too.  Going to try to clean (reorganize) my stamp room and unload some supplies that have been sitting around for quite awhile and maybe do a give-away, a swap, donate, not sure yet, but know I need to pack up some things.

This card came together SUPER fast!  This week's Blogger's Challenge is to Reuse, Recycle.  I had just thrown away a 2010 calendar which had some great pictures in it, so I rummaged through the garbage and pulled it back out and created with one of the calendar pages.  The original page looked like this:

With a sketch in mind, since this week over at Card Positioning Systems was to pick a favorite sketch, I went with #190 of Tami's and combined it with this week's Playdate Cafe Challenge colors and went to work.

I love this Text Objects set from Verve!!!  I can't get enough of it, I love the fonts and the text and the images and they all work so well together. I used it on the frames I made for my family and think this will be one of those sets I keep around for awhile.

It was hard to take a great picture of this without getting the shine of the photo I used, but hopefully you get the side angle idea ;-)  Can't wait to see what the other Blogger's recycled and reused!  You can check them out here.

Card details:
Stamps: Text Objects from Verve Stamps
Inks: Dish All the Dirt Brown
Cardstock: Cameo Coral, Dish All the Dirt Brown, Kraft and Raspberry Fizz
Accessories: twine from The Twinery, photo from calendar.

I love to reuse and recycle too...I just made a card on 12/31/10 that used a chocolate bar wrapper! Kudos to you for making a lovely card that is "green" as well as pink, red, etc. :) THanks for playing at The Cafe!
