a creative mind at work in the deep dark basement

Hey there, chickadee

Oh, what a week!  I had been using a blog layout from another source and I guess they were having some issues with photobucket and when I went to try and redo my blog, it got totally screwed up.  I have redone a portion of my blog with the help of my hubby and the awesome "Blog in a Box".  I will need another night or two in front of the t.v. and probably some help from my friend Lisa who's always a help when I run into issues.

Speaking of Lisa, besides being a good buddy, she always puts together some awesome sketches for us bloggers.  This one was easy but for some reason I really struggled with it.  I really need to get back into my stamping groove this weekend as I miss being creative and I need that break from work.

Clean & Simple is what I went with for this challenge.  I pulled out Everyday Button Bits, Butterfly Dreams and Art Deco to use on my card.  I love adding buttons onto my projects, these are from Clear & Simple Stamps (Green with Envy and VIP Purple).  My sentiment didn't turn out too dark, but I think it looks okay?

The colors this week are from the Playdate Cafe Challenge .  Lisa was the hostess this week over there this week as well-that girl is multi-TALENTED!!!!

Well, I need to get to bed so that I can wake refreshed Friday morning to check out the other blogger's creations this week-I hope you will hop on over to check them out as well.

Card details:
Stamps: Butterfly Dreams and Everyday Button Bits from Papertrey Ink and Art Deco from Clear & Simple Stamps
Cardstock: Eggplant Envy, Green Galore and VIP Purple, Confetti White
Inks: Versafine Onyx Black, Eggplant Envy and VIP Purple
Accessories: Green with Envy and VIP Purple buttons from Clear & Simple Stamps, cream twine from Papertrey Ink

Definitely clean and simple -- I love it -- the focal image is darling with the buttons and the butterfly is the absolute perfect accent. Background paper is awesome for this card as well! I feel a CASE coming on!
