Oh, how I love the card I made! Finally an idea comes to me and it turned out as I imagine it in my head.
I'm trying to be ahead of the game so as I write this up, I'll actually be on my way to California (for work) but while you are reading this I'll be finishing up work and headed out with some high school friends for the night (girls night out). I'm so excited to see them, it's been a few years.
This card was mailed out to my Mom this week, I hope she likes it. I colored the flowers from the new set I got a few weeks ago, One Person from Verve Stamps with my aquapainter. I used the sketch from Kim Kesti on p. 98 of the Go-to sketches magazine but changed it up just a little bit.
I added some Crystal Ice stickles to the purple flower and some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to the inside of the pink one (don't like at all). I stamped the sentiment in eggplant envy and paper pierced around the edges.
I used the Basic Grey Kioshi paper as an inspiration piece for my flowers. I would have colored them blue (my favorite color) but figured since it wasn't for me, that color wouldn't work. I also stamped Happy Mother's Day on the inside.
Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day and that you are spoiled rotten! I will hopefully get to sleep in (since I have a late arrival home Saturday night and fly back out Monday).
See what the other Blogger's are up to here.
