I'm squeezing in my Blogger's Challenge card just in the nick of time. I finished it last night and had to let my Crystal Effects dry before photographing it.
Our challenge this week was a sketch (below). Although my image was a little larger than the panel suggested, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I had my cousin's daughter in mind when I was making this as I just returned from a visit with them and my cousin's 2 daughter's let me bunk in their room with them. They were so sweet and this image just reminded me of Marlie. I added the sentiment as my cousin told me this is her favorite thing to say.
I have another one posting tomorrow for her sister who loves shopping and high heel shoes, so hopefully they will both like the cards I send off to them. I really enjoyed my visit with my cousins and their families, even though it was for a night and we share so many wonderful memories-it was so much fun reminiscing and sharing stories about our kids.
I used some fabric as my strip panels with a messy sewing job but that's how I envisioned doing it so I just went with it. This image (I See Clearly from Stampotique Originals) is quite large, almost 5" tall so this is a 5.5" square card. I used my Sakura Souffle pen around the magnifying glass and my Sakura Jelly Roll pen around the handle to give it a little sparkle. I applied the Crystal Effects over the magnifying glass and love how it turned out.
Going to keep this short today as I've got a busy day and I need to get hopping :-)
