Blogger's Challenge, Week #40

This week our challenge was to use Spring Flowers. I know mine doesn't seem to "springish" but I love these colors and so for me they are springy. I had to use black as it really made the other colors I was using "POP" a little more.

My camera is being held hostage in my husband's car right now, so I've had to use my scanner which does not do this card justice. I hope my friend will like it as I had her in mind when I was making it. The flowers stand up a bit and are popped up with dimensionals.

Card details:

Stamp Set: Doodle This, Small Sayings

Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky, Buckaroo Blue, Shiny blue unknown

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black

Accessories: Crystal Ice Stickles, Rhinestone Brads, cuttlebug, black ribbon

Easter pics

I don't normally post a lot of personal pictures on here, but I couldn't pass up this cute picture of my 3 kids. It only took about 20 pictures of them to get this one good one. I think we took about 100 pictures to try and get a few good ones of each of them and one good one of all 5 of us (which was unsuccessful).

Thanks for letting me share and hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Lots of Thought, Priceless

I have saved quite a few sketches from other blogs that I knew I wanted to try. These sketches come in handy when you need a quick card, combine them with a color challenge and all you need is the image.

This sketch I saved is from Tammy Hershberger; she has a great blog with wonderful cards on it!!!

I needed a few more thank you cards for baby gifts so tried to do some masculine colors.
ETA: Duh, I must really love Tammy's sketch as I had used it previously on this card; I told you sketches come in handy for me!

Card details:
Stamp Sets: Lots of Thought, Priceless, Friendship Blooms, Canvas
Cardstock: Retired SU DSP (forget the name of it), Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Sahara Sand
Inks: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Saraha Sand
Accessories: Rhinestone Ice brad, 1 1/4" circle punch, scallop punch

Blogger Challenge, Week #39

This week our challenge was to use bayou blue, sky blue, real red and chocolate chip. I had to make a "congrats" card for my SIL/BIL who just had a baby boy and I really wanted to use this set I borrowed from my SIL (different SIL than the one that just had the baby) called Nursery Bash by CTMH. I like all the images in this set and think it could be versatile.

Please make sure to check out the other blogger's work here.

Stamp Set: Nursery Bash, Happy Day, both by CTMH

Cardstock: Watercolor paper, Real Red, Bayou Blue, Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Real Red, Bayou Blue, Soft Sky reinkers

Accessories: Corner rounder, Waterfall stickles, aquapainter, chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon

Happy Easter!

Blogger Challenge, Week #38

This week our bloggers challenge was to do a birthday card for any age. I had done up a few of these awhile ago and just had never posted it. I have been swamped with work this week since I had to let an employee go last week...been picking up the slack and cleaning up the mess that was left behind. It's been stressful and I can't wait to play with the new stamps that just arrived today for me.

I don't remember too much from this card so I will try with the details I do remember.

Card details:
Stamp Set: Bud Basics, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: patterned paper unknown, Basick Black, Whisper White
Ink: More Mustard, Really Rust, Black Staz-on, Old Olive, Always Artichoke
Accessories: rhinestone brad, zig zag ribbon unknown

Please make sure to check out the other participants by clicking on the bloggers challenge logo to the right--------------------------------------------------> If you choose to participate please post your link in the comment section.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

Blogger Challenge, Week 37

I'm late this week and I really combined a whole lot of challenges in to this one card.

Our blogger challenge this week to make a shaped card- anything other than a rectangle. I wasn't overly creative as I did a square card. I was attempting another shape but got frusterated and gave up.

Another challenge I was doing was to use flowers on your card with spring colors. Well, the person I was sending to loves Bashful Blue, as do I, so I though this would be a good springy card and I don't use my chipboard often enough.

The last challenge I incorporated into this card is a sketch challenge from Tammy. I'm addicted to sketches these days and find they really do come in handy.

Make sure to check out the other blog participants by clicking on the Bloggers Challenge Logo to the right which will bring up a link to everyone's blog. If you want to join us, just link your challenge card in this blog.

Card details:
Stamp Sets: Hugs & Wishes
Cardstock: Le Jardin DSP, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Very Vanilla
Inks: Bashful Blue and So Saffron
Accessories: Chipboard, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Crystal Effects, Soft Subtles Brads

Catalog Copy Swap

I hosted a swap on my wonderful group, SU-Girlfriends and these are some of the awesome cards that were submitted for the swap. Thanks to all the girls who participated, I included a little gift card for you in your return envelopes which I put down the wrong p. # on. It should be p. 25, not p. 9 (where I got that from I haven't a clue).

I did not include two of the swap participants cards, so you will get to be a little suprised when you receive your cards back. All went postal today except for one I mailed on Saturday.

Enjoy the card and you can click to enlarge to see who created them.
