Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #4

Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge was extremely challenging!! Make sure to check out her sketch and noon EST today.

Every time I looked at this sketch and started a card, the card ended up not working with this sketch.

Finally on Saturday night my brainstorming kicked in and I kicked out 2 cards, one with a girl theme and the other with a boy theme.

The first card I also included a close-up of the little girl to show the stickles I used on her sash and crown. I colored her in with markers but wish I would have used watercolor crayons for a more subtle look. You can click on the picture to see it up close.

The second card I used some leftover images that I had received to do the frames I had posted down below. I also tilted the sketch to give a different view. There is a River Rock color on the patterned cardstock that of course was covered up with the little triangle piece.

Card Details:
Stamp Set: Birthday Beauty (retired)
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, patterned paper unknown
Inks: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: White Taffeta Ribbon, Signo gel pen, Fruit Punch and Silver Stickles

Card Details:
Stamp Set: Bronc Buster, Wanted
Cardstock: 3 bugs in a rug Jovial Jester, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, River Rock
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue
Accessories: Circle Punch, sponges, Brocade grosgrain ribbon, vintage brads

Make sure to check out Mary Jo's sketch challenge and please post your creation with a link on this post, Mary Jo's post or on SCS with keyword TSSC4.

Thanks for looking and look forward to seeing your creations!

Kim, these cards are great. Love the little beauty queen. Your second card is very similar to mine. Great minds think alike!

I think these both turned out really cute!!! As for the potty training thing (on my blog, reply to your comment) -- my little boy was not interested at all until recently. We bought his big sister a treat for pooping on the potty and he made the connection that he could get a reward too if he went on the potty. I am pleased to announce that yesterday (day 3 of training -- had one accident on day 1 and 2) he was clean and dry all day! YAY! We rewarded him with a Dinoco Lightning McQueen which he was coveting with all his three year old ability to covet -- I think the key is finding something they really really want that they are willing to work for. Hopefully today goes as well as yesterday! We also did not use pull ups at all -- we put him in the big boy pants of his choice and I explained that they would be ruined if he had an accident in them. Honestly, (and sorry for the longest comment ever) -- I am not sure what clicked this time, but something did and I am sure glad!!! Good luck!
