That's my Baby!!

Okay, I'm getting back to some stamping but don't have anything stamp related to post yet. I've been working on birth announcements and haven't come up with the *right* one yet.

This picture was so funny, Sydney gets so jealous when Tristan holds Finley but then when she goes to hold him, she only wants him for a second or two. She does love him though and always asks "where's baby?" as she can't say Finley. When Scott and I are talking about changing the baby she runs to their room and grabs a diaper for him. She's really suprised us with how good she's been with him. Tristan is as well, but we knew he would be as he was a wonderful big brother when Sydney was born.

Hopefully I'll have some stamping to share very soon. Trying to get some stamping in while Finley sleeps throughout the day.

Baby Boy has arrived

Our day finally arrived and we got to meet our newest son. To the left is a picture of our new one being greeted by his big brother Tristan and big sister Sydney.

Finley John was born Nov. 19th at 9:02 p.m. weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 20" long. It was a long labor for me, different than the rest. I was induced and really didn't get in to any active labor until around noon when my Dr. broke my water. I got my epidural about an hour after that, unfortunately after 4 attempts, the epidural only took on one side. I was in a lot of pain and didn't think I was going to be able to have that baby at all. Needless to say, I was not a pretty picture that day, swearing a lot and just wanting it to be over with. Luckily, without the epidural I pushed pretty good for 1/2 hour and our son arrived.

We are thrilled, the kids got to meet him the following day as they were already home in bed by the time he arrived. They love him and Sydney couldn't wait to hold her new little doll. I'm still recovering a little and will enjoy the next few days with my parents here helping out.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes, I really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers of our friends!

Simply Said

I saw a layout the other day that I really liked and wanted to try, and of course it takes me so much longer to figure it out. I'm not great with patterned paper and my stamping, but I am trying harder with it as I have too much patterned paper.

This was from a monthly scrapbook club I had joined and I forgot to write down what the paper was before I tore it all apart. Sorry!!!

Stamp Sets: Simply Said
Inks: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Coluzzle, CTMH ribbon

Hope you enjoy!

Blogger Challenge, Week #20

This week our challenge was to use a photo or magazine in our creation. I knew what I wanted to use immediately and just finally had some time to sit down to do it. I made a few coasters for the fridge (or my file cabinet) of me and the kids this past Halloween.

I'm hoping that when you click on the photo it enlarges, but I do have individual pictures as well. I used some Chatterbox paper I had, some primas and the SU! Stipple Celebrations set on photo paper with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy.

Make sure to check out the other participants of the weekly bloggers challenge to the right---->

I'll probably be taking a little hiatus as our turkey is almost cooked and will be arriving the week of Thanksgiving (we hope). I'll make sure to post afterwards with lots of details ;-)

Blogger Challenge, Week #19

This week our challenge was to use lots of embellishments on our project. While I usually use embellishments, it's usually only 1 or so. I tried to use a few different ones on here, but still didn't overdo it. I also combined this weeks color challenge on SCS which at first I didn't care for, but the more I saw others using it the more I liked it.

Stamp Set: Stipple Celebration, Studio G clear stamp sentiment

Colors: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, So Saffron, Whisper White, Basic Black

Accessories: Ribbon, Bold Bright Eyelets, Metal corner frames (source unknown)

Make sure to check out the other challengers on the sidebar to the right.

Thanks and hope all had a Happy Halloween!
