ATC turned full card #2

I have long been a fan of Taylor and was excited to participate in one of her Amuse ATC challenges she held. I was lucky in the fact that she participated in almost all the groups she hosted so I got one of her wonderful ATC's back!!

In my attempt to convert all my ATC's into full cards I thought it to be appropriate to use one of Taylor's sketch challenges to convert her ATC. The colors of my patterned paper don't match exactly to that of hers, but I still think it looked great together.

To see more of Taylor's wonderful work as well as her line of stamps please visit her here:

Card details:
Stamps by Amuse
Cardstock: Background designer paper by SU, Only Orange, Green Galore, Pink Passion
Accessories: Nestabilities, Script cuttlebug folder (for only orange squares)

Bloggers Challenge #68: Inspiration Piece

This weeks blogger's challenge was to use the inspiration piece above to create our card. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use my new sets Ahoy Matey (another of my Kim Hughes favorite...and I bought 2 others as well as her cute Mocha Chica Paper Pack) and Best Mates . I'm in love with both of these illustrators and their creative stamps...so cute!!!

I based my card off one of Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #31 which can be seen here.

I used the exact colors in the picture, Basic Black, Real Red and Papertrey Ink's Stampers Select White. I used the Versafine Onyx Black ink and my real red reinker with the Aquapainter. I have been using my Janome sewing machine a bit more and LOVED seeing samples with the curvy sewing and thought that would be perfect for this card. I used some basic black brads along with my oval punches for the sentiment. I colored my ribbon with a black permanent marker as that seemed a little sharper than my SU! marker did and hoping the smell of it doesn't knock someone over ;-)

Please check out the other Blogger's Challenge girls here to see their fabulous creations, they never cease to amaze me with how different everyone's creations are.

Sketch Challenge 152 & Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge

Some of my girlfriends are in Cape Cod this weekend and I didn't get to go this year with the baby...but am already planning for next year. They had some virtual challenges this weekend so I figured I'd plop my butt in the chair and do some stamping (or as much as I could squeeze in with the kids sleeping). This is a card for someone who had a baby (I had posted the previous card I was going to send but didn't like it). This image is SU! but I don't remember the name, my friend stamped some images for me to use so I had a few colored up today.

This was for the SCS152 sketch challenge and also for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. I really liked the colors that were chosen for this!

Card details: Stamp set from SU! but retired and not sure of name (sorry), Bundled in Love (Welcome baby), Alphabits
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green
Inks: Various inks to color in characters, black staz-on
Accessories: Various circle punches, paper piercer, turquoise grosgrain ribbon, brads
