Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, You look like a monkey, you smell like one too!

Our challenge Mom, Lisa celebrated a birthday this week as long as another player of ours, Gerrie Johnnic and so in honor of their birthday's our theme is BIRTHDAY!

I combined our blogger's challenge today with a few other challenges-trying to work ahead of schedule this week.

The {Stamps} of Life is sponsoring the Lily Pad Card Challenge this week with an inspiration piece and sketch.  I chose to combine them and use both of them.

When I was creating this card, I also had the Paper Crafts Gallery Challenge in mind which is rainbow colors.  I went the traditional rainbow for this challenge.

I created this card by first stamping the borders4me in a rainbow fashion.  I love the fact that you can bend these stamps the way you wish to fit what you need.  Once I got my rainbow lined up, i stamped the little flowers from flower2doodle and then the sentiment from daisies2garden.  My flower was created using the flowers die from sizzix and some vellum paper.  I cut about 8 of the larger and smaller flowers and wrinkled them before adhering the brad through them.

Hope you will join The {Stamps} of Life over at Lily Pad Challenges using the inspiration piece/sketch and link in to blogger's challenge using a birthday theme.

You're Special!

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations theme for this week is to use digital images & digital papers on your creations.  While I'm not a huge digi user, I have collected my fair share of them from attempting to digital scrapbook.

Today, Kristen is also having a give-away on her blog.  Tell her who your top 3 favorite digital image companies are and she'll randomly draw a winner next week for a $10 gift certificate to your favorite digital store.

I just happened to come across these fabulous digital images the other day from Dilly Beans Digi Stamps and probably could have bought so much more than I did, but I picked one that I kept on going back to, Framed Friday with Skull.  These printed beautifully and was so fun to color!  You can't tell too well from the picture, but my background paper is digital as well.

I've used the current Lily Pads Card Sketch for this.

Join us over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations this week and if you need more inspiration, visit the rest of the design team so see what digital images and papers they've turned into masterpieces.
