This week for our Blogger's Challenge the theme was "Travel".  Well, I've done plenty of that in the last year, most of it work related, but fortunately a few personal trips as well.

This past week I just got some sets I bought from a friend and was excited to see there were several travel sets included.  I'm diligently working on getting caught up on my Project Life album for 2014 (I'm only about 8 months behind) so I thought I would create a few Project Life cards to go into my album.

For the ones above I created some thinking about our flights to CA last year and the journaling I wanted to do.  Along with that, we went to Tahoe where my husband rented us all bikes and we took a (what he would call short) bike ride to the Lake.

And again, some more flying cards as my husband and I enjoyed a second trip out to CA for my brother-in-laws wedding which was a short 6 weeks after our first trip out there.

A few weeks ago when I was at Archiver's with friends I got borrowed some stamps from Libby and Susan and got to work on some Halloween cards.  This set I was working with was Hero Arts Monster Fun.

I don't have all the paper details as most of the paper I pulled out of my stash of 12 x 12 that I had cut down to 6 x 6 and then I had purchased a Teresa Collins Masquerade Die Cut Acessories sheet and Bella Blvd. Trick or Treat sheet to embellish with.

I kept most of them pretty simple as I wanted to create a good stash of them.  I think I got about 8 made that day which I was thrilled with but have a bunch more I need to make.

It's Tag Time over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.  I decided this week to make a tag card instead of just a plain tag.  

This tag is based off the FTL162 sketch this week along with the CR84FN40 which is to use Brown, Kraft and Red this week.  I used an image from Verve Stamps and layered it several times to give it some dimension.  For the middle of the flower I used the Viva Pearl Pen in gold.

Blogger's Challenge: Cardboard

edited to add:  Guess it would help if when I'm pre-posting my stuff that I would actually attach the pictures of my projects and WRITE up my blog post?

See, I've been trying to get "ahead" of the game this past week, so when I finished a card, I typed all the info up on the card and was supposed to go back and add in my project.  Whoops!

So today is Friday which is Blogger's Challenge and Lisa has given us the challenge of working with cardboard.  My idea is not super original or anything, but I think it turned out just how I envisioned it.

Last weekend while playing in the challenges over at SCS, I created this for the Hope you Can Cling to Challenge HYCCT1106: Looking in on You! hosted by texasgrammy aka Bev Gerard.  The image are some "hand me downs" from my friend Libby, she had about 4 of these flowers embossed on vellum so I colored on the back of them with my copic markers.

The cardboard I peeled off a layer of it so it was a little "feathery" and then ran it through my cuttlebug with the beaded square die.  I layered a white piece of cardstock behind the vellum and attached it behind the cutout to give it the window effect.

You Add Color to my Life

Today is a fun day for me!  My friend Sue asked a few blogger's if we'd like to play along with her for a monthly challenge.  Of course, I love a good challenge and the chance to use a variety of supplies.

Sue was our hostess this first time and she sent us everything we needed to compile our card, cardstock, ribbon, patterned paper and the image.  We all received the same supplies to create with.  Can't wait to see what everyone did with theirs.

I'm finding by looking back through all my creations that I've a very straight edged type gal.  I tend to always use squares and rectangles, but am trying to branch out and use other shapes (obviously not on this creation).

The basket of lemons image from Lockhart was a lot of fun to color with my Copic markers but of course now that I'm looking at it I'm thinking I would've had like to add some spotlighting to the image.

Rock Star Anya

I had pre-ordered a few Anya's and had a chance to mess around with Rock Star Anya this weekend. I didn't complete the layout I started with which was from Leigh's TCP Sketch but that's only because I didn't make the card big enough.

I'm really missing stamping but I have been swamped with work, football playoffs for the oldest, tennis and did I mention work?

Scrapbook layout turned in to card

I used Allison's scrapbook sketch to turn in to a card. I really liked this one and although it did take me forever to do, I really liked the outcome. I'm trying to practice my watercoloring!

Using scraps off the last card I continued with the theme of eggplant envy and old olive and added Regal Rose in to the mix.
