Love gave her wings

This week is the Verve Stamps Inspiration Challenge and it is Vivacious Valentine's challenge.

This card was created for a female to bring a smile to her face (at least I hope it does).  I love this image and the little wings on it so I stamped it three times, once on my cardstock, once on vellum and once on patterned paper and then put it altogether.

This uses an older sketch from Mojo Monday (#378) which was a tall and skinny card.  I don't create these too often but I really liked how it turned out-just wish I still had it to take a better picture of it.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous weekend!

Wish Big

This week over at Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge the theme is anything goes.  I got this set My Guy a few weeks ago and wanted to use it to make some masculine/boy cards to put in my birthday stash.

I colored my car with copic markers and added some gelly roll pen to the headlights and taillights of the card.  I kept this pretty simple keeping in mind most of my boy cards go to younger kids.

I used the SC525 sketch from Splitcoast Stampers for this card.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting today!

SDC130: Something New

Our hostess this week at Stampotique Designer's Challenge is Kaz and here is what she is challenging you with the following:

I am just a little bit nosey, so for this challenge I'd like you to use something that Santa brought you! Don't worry if you didn't get crafty stash, just use something that you recently bought for yourself. If you really want to, you could make something with the theme of something new as well. Just make sure you enjoy making it.

Well, shockingly I did not get any crafty stuff for the holiday, but shortly before I had purchased some new thin washi tape so I used a tiny strip of it on my card in the corner.

I colored up Dreamer #12003 and the Learn to Relax #12018 as I need to keep reminding myself of this every day.

Hope you will join us and show us what is new in your stash.

SDC117: Birthday Theme

Today, I'm is the lucky hostess of our challenge at Stampotique Designer's Challenge and I was a little selfish when I picked the date and the challenge theme.  Our challenge this week is "BIRTHDAY" and can you guess why I was selfish this week??  It is my birthday...today!  And it's not just any birthday, it's one of the big milestone birthdays and what better way to spend it then hopping around to see all the fabulous birthday creations from the SDC team and yourselves?

And if you haven't already seen this, check it out:
Did you see our design team call announcement?

If not, you can see the details here.

Here's what I threw together quickly-I apologize as I started a new job a few weeks ago and it's been consuming all my free time.  I love it, it's new, but it's a lot more challenging as I learn more about the company.

I used one of my favorite images to work with Lots of Gifts 7317. I combined it with Banner 10001, although I wish I would have kept it a little longer on my card-but that's okay.

Hope you will join us and show off your birthday creations for your chance to win one of two random $30 gift certificates for Stampotique stamps.

Amazing

The summers not over just yet (well our kids are back in school) but the weather is still quite hot and humid.  We're hoping to get another trip or two out onto the lake before it starts cooling off and in between all the football and cheerleading going on.

I created this card a bit ago but hadn't posted it yet, the surfboards remind me of summer...and shark week :-)

The August Diva Dare at Verve Stamps is "Pile on the Sweetness"-or use lots of layers.  My layers are stacked on this card with not only the card base but the images as well.

The Simon Wednesday Challenge is monochromatic colors-there are some fabulous creations over at their site.  I'm using tones of blues for my card.

The Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World is the photo below.  I adore any color of blue, but I have a soft spot for navy blue-so much so that my bridesmaids dresses were that color.   The dresser and the photo display really are so beautiful in this picture, but really the color and the stripes were what inspired me in this photo.

You have until August 18th to join in on the Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab World so jump on over there and check out the details to join.

Thank You...You're the Best

This month over at Paper Crafts, the July Gallery Challenge is all things nautical.

This paper from the Unchartered Waters Collection from Glitz screams nautical to me and combined with the Lighthouse Collage set from Our Daily Bread designs, this card turned out just like I envisioned it.

I stamped the image directly onto the patterned paper to give it that ocean feel.

Thanks for stopping by to visit me today, hope you are having a great week!

BC319: To Die For

Happy Friday!  I'm so happy the weekend is here yet again, the long weekend last weekend went by way too FAST!!  This weekend we don't have a baseball tournament so I'm hoping the weather will be nice and we might be able to get out on the boat for an afternoon.

This week at Blogger's Challenge Lisa has challenged us to break out our dies or die machines.  I haven't been stamping a whole lot lately, and am okay with it for now.  Most of the evenings when I normally stamp I'm just enjoying some quiet time reading with the ball games on in the background.

But knowing how many dies I have to work with, I had to get off my rump and get something made.  Am thinking maybe tonight I'll get some stamping done if everything goes as planned.

For my card I used some of the new papers in my stash which reminds me of summer and the lake along with some of My Favorite Things dies.  I loved the current Cas(e) this sketch! and wanted to use that.

Hope you will join us and show off your dies at Blogger's Challenge.

Glittery Birthday Wishes

This weekend I finally felt like I got a little of my mojo back (not all of it) but some of it anyway.

I broke out some of my fun new goodies (paper, glitter, glue, enamel dots) to play with.  I came across this dimensional glue from Sparkle N Sprinkle when I was at CKC Manchester and fell in love with it.   I love that it holds it's dimension.  Of course, I had glitter, but their beautiful array of colors had me buying some more and I knew I needed to put it to use.  I also broke out some "oldies" but using some of my Stampin' Up! sets that have been collecting dust on my shelf.

This card is based on the Case This Sketch #26 which of course I missed the challenge deadline-but that's ok :-)

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful hump day!
