Let's Chat!

This week at Blogger's Challenge our list Mom gave us the theme of Reuse, Recycle.   I'm running a bit late this week with getting this done (okay, I got up super early this morning and did this) so I wasn't creative as I'm sure the other ladies are.  I had an old phone book sitting here that I had hopes of making some adorable print flowers with, and grabbed a page out of there.  All the papers on my card with the exception of the card base were pulled out of my scrap bin.  Actually, my card base wasn't cut from a new piece of cardstock, it was one I had in my drawer that just hadn't been used yet.

I pulled out the On My Couch set from Papertrey Ink as I thought the "Let's Chat" sentiment would go perfect with the phone book paper.  He, he, he.  Too bad I couldn't find one darn phone stamp in my stash.
The Play Date Cafe Challenge #48 this week was an interesting one that I was able to incorporate with this card.  I used Elegant Eggplant, You're Such a Gray-cious Host and some Basic Grey Pink Lemonade paper.  Of course I had to play with a sketch, although it wasn't working with my image, so I changed the landscape of the Mojo Monday sketch.

The couch is paper pieced from a gray patterned paper I had in my stash as well with some colored pillows on it.  Did I tell you I got a new sewing machine and I'm so happy??? My Janome broke down a few weeks ago and I was going crazy not able to sew.  I decided last week for my birthday to treat me to a new one.  I think I'm still going to keep my eye out at Goodwill for a larger one, but for now my Janome & I are making happy cards.

BIRTHDAY BLOG CANDY WINNER:  I had some blog candy last week and I had 3 correct winners.  Random.org chose #3 which was Lynn Phelps so she gets the big blog candy but I'm also going to send some goodies to the runners-up who were 2 of my good friends who had easy questions to answer :-)  Lisa Somerville & Rose Kerry.  Thanks for playing and for the blog suggestions, came across some new ones that I'll be visiting.

1.  Where do I do my stamping at? *IN THE BASEMENT*
2.  What companies am I currently designing for? (clue: 2 at this time) *CLEAR & SIMPLE STAMPS, STAMPOTIQUE*

Have a fantastic Friday, I know we will be trying here.  DS 11th birthday was yesterday so we will be taking him out for dinner tonight & tomorrow night he'll have a few friends stay the night.

Make sure to hop around and see how the others reused & recycled.
