I was initially stumped with the new color challenge over at CR84FN, but once I figured out what chartreuse is-I'm dingy like that-but figured out what I wanted to do as soon as I figured it all out.
I had stamped some of these images from Fifth Avenue Floral on my trip to Colorado and have them sitting on my desk just begging to be colored. I went for a deep red color with this rose and then used my copic to color the seam binding (addicted to this). I hope they look like petals coming out as that's how I was envisioning it to look.
I used some Jenni Bowlin mini papers as my backdrop for the flower and have it layered on some Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I colored the half back pearls with my copic marker and stamped a cute sentiment from Papertrey Ink.
By the time this is posted, I will be on my way to work in NH and also a day of leisure to hang out with my friend, Kristen Catalano. I haven't seen her in over a year, so I'm looking forward to my trip!

Aha! I just figured this out! There are 2 photos of the same card right? I thought the top photo was a 3-D paper flower so I guess your colouring trick worked :-) Lovely colours.
