SDC13: Wings, Wings, Wings

Willy Anderson is our host this week over at the Stampotique Designer’s Challenge. In this challenge we are going to fly with the theme ‘Wings, wings, wings’. Get out your stamps and fly with us.

I had an array of stamps to choose from when it came to wings but sick and demented mind immediately was thinking of some yummy garlic & parmesan chicken wings.  I love wings and you know, chickens do have wings.  Okay, so I'm a little different...I'm okay with that.
I love these Bold Birds, they are fun to color and you can use so many different colors with them.  I finally just got the sentiment to go with it and so glad I did.  For the strip on the side I used this fun stamp called Crayon Circles.  I need to make more background paper with this stamp.

I know the color combination is a little different but I decided I would try a few challenges all rolled up into one for this card.  My mojo has seriously been lacking lately-this card took me a whopping 2 hours to make and I had the colors, sketch and theme chosen for me already.  SAD I say.  Hoping that it's going to hit me like a ton of bricks here soon and that I will be stamping like crazy by this weekend.

The sketch came from Jen's Sketch for You to Try.  I don't get to play in some of these challenges as often as I would like, so I'm always excited when I'm able to play along.  Over at Embellish Magazine there is a challenge going on until tomorrow using the colors pink, brown & green with a bird theme.  Hoping my chicken fits the challenge.  ETA:  I'm also submitting this for the first Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is Things with Wings

Hope you will join us over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge and create a project using wings.

I like this card, Kim! I like the color combo, the simplicity and those great crayon circles!! Aren't they cool? That's EXACTLY WHY I drew them (I can only draw like a child); to use to make my own background paper! And of course Maryse's chickens........thanks for your continued great work!!
