Embellish Magazine Blog Hop

Have you heard of the blog hop going on?  If you haven't, jump on over to Embellish Magazine Blog Hop to check out the colorful creations as well as the AWESOME prizes being given away.  I've gotten the e-zine that is available and love the way it is put together and the beautiful color layouts of it.

Clear & Simple Stamps is part of the blog hop and they are giving away a $25 gift certificate to the

I decided at the very last minute to create some cute little note cards for teacher's gifts as part of the colors scheme of the blog hop.  I had previously done a card similar to these colors (minus-the Kraft) here.

For this card, I started off with the intention of doing Susan's One Layer Wednesday challenge but then forgot-it's ONE layer.  Oh well, maybe next time I'll read the details better to participate as I was greatly inspired by her blog and the Clean & Simple blog in making my teacher's gifts this year.  I was able to make 11 card sets consisting of 8 cards each using a lot of their layouts.

I'm thrilled with how this little card turned out.  I used the Kind Deeds set from Clear & Simple Stamps and overlapped the sentiment.  The butterfly is a die cut from Papertrey Ink.  I use some Amuse creative candy in the middle of the the butterfly in which I stamped with the Art Deco background stamp.

Hope you jump on to do the blog hop and hope that you win some good prizes!!  Good Luck!

Card details:
Stamp Sets: Kind Deeds and Art Deco from Clear & Simple Stamps
Cardstock: Kraft Like a Rockstar, On the Catwalk Cream, Dish all the Dirt Brown, Simply Blue-tiful all from Clear & Simple Stamps
Inks: Dare to be a Diva Red, Dish all the Dirt Brown, Simply Blue-tiful from Clear & Simple Stamps
Accessories: Butterfly die from Papertrey Ink, Ivory Pearls from Amuse Creative Card Candy

forgot to mention that I love the butterfly. So creative to stamp the background image and then punch out the butterfly - fabulous!

Hi Kim! Your little note card is so PRETTY! Love the color scheme and that big butterfly is so pretty on there. Is that b-fly a diecut from SU? Oh, I forgot to look at your recipe, I'll go look LOL! Clear & Simple has some nice stamps! Love these solid shadow type stamps, which I don't think I even own any like this. I'll go check out the hop--if it's not too long of one =) Happy Memorial Day weekend!! x
