Stampotique Designer's Challenge #6: Think Outside the Box

It seems like ages since our last Stampotique Designer's Challenge, but it's only been 2 weeks.  We do them the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month.  The first challenge of the month is no vendor restricted challenges and the second challenge is Stampotique stamps only.  What if you don't own any of the Stampotique stamps?  Join us the first challenge for your chance to win some!

This week our hostess, Terri challenged us to think "outside the box".  (make sure to check out Terri's blog as she will be on fave crafts radio soon). I'm not one that thinks outside the box very much but I had this tin laying around for quite awhile and was getting tired of stashing some of my pens in this other pen holder (too bulky).  I wanted just something small for my office pens to be in but didn't take up a lot of space.  I thought this tin would be perfect.

I covered the tin with some Bonjour "Boy" Polka Dot/Turquoise paper from My Mind's Eye using some scor-tape to hold in on good.  I picked colors that worked well in my office and since my office is a pale green with light blue accents this paper was the one I wanted.  I used a strip of the paper to create a band with some ribbon around it.

The Happy House stamp was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with my Copic markers.  I added a little rhinestone brad (minus the brad) to the little flower/sun at the top (you can see it in the close up picture at the top of the page).

I hope you will join us this week for the Stampotique Designer's Challenge.  You will need to use your Stampotique Stamps this week and link up your URL via Mr. Linky by Tuesday May 11, 2010 to be eligible to win the gift certificate to the Stampotique store.

Make sure you check out the rest of the design team and how they used their stamps to think "out of the box" this week.
