Christmas Children

It's going to be a purple week, I can feel it already!  This is not a color I use often, subtle purples I can manage, darker ones are not my style at all.  This weekend I was challenged with using it a lot and hope I succeeded.

This card is one that my friends Jeanne and Vicki encouraged me to do, as the image is from Stamp N Plus Scrap N and every month we have a different themed challenge between the DT.  This month is Christmas and since Jeanne and Vicki already are a part of the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long team, they suggested I participate in their challenges to also meet the challenge with Stamp N Plus Scrap N.  The Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge this week is to use the following combination:  Violet (purple, lilac), Gold, Cream and White.

Along with that, my other friend Lisa is hostessing the challenge over at The Play Date Cafe and their challenge is using similar colors of Plum, Lavender and Cream.  Lisa couldn't wait to see what I created using their color combination (probably knowing my dislike for using purple) so without further ado, here it is:
