Blogaversary Challenge #2: Kraft & Sewing

Joanne B. has had the best challenges leading up to her Blogaversary.  I love the two things to use this week, Kraft & Sewing!!!  I wish my little Janome was being nicer to me, but I guess she wanted the night off so she decided to only sew on 1/2 of my card, the other 1/2 I handstiched.  UGH!!!!

I love this cute little image from Stampingbella called Appleybowl Huggabugg.  She's so cute & I enjoy coloring her.  I also love this paper I used up  which is Persian Floral from Chatterbox Inc.  For some odd reason I'm drawn to these dark colors, I love them combined.

I used just a hair of kraft cardstock which I cut with my Tim Holtz Ornate decorative edge die & then it all was mounted on a full size kraft card.  I like how it turned out and I just sewed the edge of them together.

Card details:
Stamps: Appleybowl Huggabugg by Stampingbella, Handwritten Notes by Papertrey Ink
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Kraft, More Mustard, Persian Floral by Chatterbox Inc
Ink:  Perfect Little Black Dress, Copic Markers, Fresh Snow
Accessories:  Nestabilities, Janome sewing machine, Tim Holtz Ornate border die

Kim, this is adorable! Here's a few tips that I've had good luck with when either of my sewing machines go wonky....Try pulling the thread all the way out of your Janome, set our tension to 3 and then rethread all the way. Sometimes, I'll notice that the thread has mysteriously not been threaded correctly. Also check the bobbin thread, is it wonky? Loose? Sometimes a bad wind will ruin your project. In which case, tuck the bobbin on the top of the machine and and rewind onto a blank bobbin. :-)

Wow Kim, this is the cutest! Lucky you with the Tim die already. How cool you used to be from Livermore! You'll have to let me know next time you're in town. xxD
