I sat down last night for a few minutes and stamped. I needed the break badly. Yesterday was MLK day, which in our town, is a holiday for the schools. That means daycare was closed as well. Problem was, it's not a holiday for me at work so I was working while trying to take care of the kids. It was hectic, and I was able to do a little work, but not as much as I needed to. Luckily after hubby got settled in when he got home, I quietly escaped down into the basement. I worked for a bit, then I stamped a little. I have the utmost respect for those who homeschool their children or are stay-at-home Mom's. I say that I could never be one, I'm so used to working, but I'm sure if it came down to it, it would be different when I wasn't working.
Call me crazy, as this card is definitely not one of my best...and the color scheme...what was I thinking? Once I uploaded this card and looked at it, I realized my color is way off. Oh well, I'm not going to fix it. I also decided to go a little different and go with a curved middle as that is the way my paper patterned paper was.
This card was created for the Pink Elephant Challenge in which Stampotique is sponsoring. Make sure you take a look at the cards, there are some awesome ones this week using the Stampotique stamps!!!

I think this card looks GREAT! Colors don't look off at all and I love the curving of the stripes. It's something different and different is definitely good. :) Take care!
