Mystery Image Swap...Kristen Catalano no peeking!!!!

This month I was the hostess of our mystery image swap and I chose this image, called Balla Weensie from Stampotique. I love their images and this one was a challenge for me. I've had it for months just sitting on my shelf so I'm so excited to see what the others come up with for it. I based this layout off of an old one by Holly McMillen.

Check out the ones I've seen, once the others post to their blog I'll add theirs as well:
Kristen Catalano
Jane Bosi

This is one of the 4 cards I got completed on my stamp day last week. I seem to be going for a much simpler card than I used to, but I did try doing the paper flower after seeing this wonderful one by Debbie Fisher.

Card details:
Stamp Set: Balla Weensie by Stampotique
Cardstock: Marcella by K Trend designer paper, Green Galore, Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink
Inks: Versafine Onyx Black, Green Galore, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom
Accessories: Hidden Garden Rub-ons, Circle Punches, Ribbon, Fire Rhinestone Brads

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving! Remember all that you are thankful for this holiday season!

Techno Stamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch #45

We're on #45 already! I've been slacking lately and really have not had energy or ambition to stamp. I miss it a lot, but just haven't been able to fit it in to my busy schedule.

My son's team made it to the Championship game for football and so we have been consumed with that, while continuing with baseball and now basketball. Unfortunately, our team did not win the championship game, but in the 4 years we've played this is the farthest we've made it and we couldn't be any prouder of all the kids.

I decided in the midst of it all I needed a day off, and so my SIL and I took a day to stamp and shop. I think we got more accomplished shopping than we did stamping, but we had fun anyway. Don't laugh...I managed to get 4 cards stamped and did some recipe cards I need to finish up.

I'm hoping now that football has ended I'll have a little more time and energy to stamp some. Thanks to everyone who still checks out my blog even when I'm slacking!

Birthday Card Swap

I joined my first swap in a while and it was to create birthday cards. I had fun with this one as I love these 2 stamps set that SU came out with, Upsy Daisy and Eastern blooms. I combined with with my Green Tea DS paper and Julee's Monday Mojo Sketch #59. I did go off the beaten path a little one this one as my flowers werent' working in as I wanted them to.

I created a little sparkle with my stickles on the flowers and then punched one of my flowers out with a brad in it. I used some bashful blue, old olive, certainly celery and very vanilla cardstock. I used my markers to color the flowers which took a little time but I like how it turned out.

Can't wait to see what all the other girls came up with!

Charlotte's Mystery Image Swap

This was the mystery image we received this last go-round. An adorable Riley Moose image. The hostess with the mostest, Charlotte, was the person I was sending to so as a little Thank You for hostessing I made her a little gift set.

I can't even remember all the details of what I used but I again used Andrea's little treat box template and inside put 5 little 3 x 3 cards with stamped envelopes.

I'm telling ya, I don't think I'm equipped to use Liquid Applique. I absolutely love the stuff and I always want to heat set it to give it the fluffy look and some of my cards didn't turn out as wonderful as others so I hope that Charlotte will still like them.

I have some more things to share and am so excited to have a full stamping day next week so hoping that I can break away from the computer, have some ideas laid out so I'm not sitting on here surfing!

Rock Star Anya

I had pre-ordered a few Anya's and had a chance to mess around with Rock Star Anya this weekend. I didn't complete the layout I started with which was from Leigh's TCP Sketch but that's only because I didn't make the card big enough.

I'm really missing stamping but I have been swamped with work, football playoffs for the oldest, tennis and did I mention work?

Card Details:
Stamps: Rock Star Anya by Pink Poison, Cutie Pie by Hero Arts
Cardstock: Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal, Rainbow Sherbert DSP
Inks: Versafine Onyx Black, Green Galore reinker, Blush Blossom reinker, Apricot Appeal reinker, Going Gray reinker, Pumpkin Pie reinker
Accessories: Apple ribbon, punches by SU, aquapainters
