Watermark Blog Candy

Cindy created the wonderful watermark that I use on all my pictures and she was quick and really listened to what I wanted. She has a great special going on right now along with some blog candy so I encourage you to check out her site.

Good Luck, I put my name in as well ;-)

Blog Candy on Stefanie's site

Check out this wonderful stamper's blog for some blog candy. Her tutorial is wonderful and I saw this creation in person last weekend, it was awesome!!!

Stefanie is also a phenomenal watercolorer. I had to get some tips from her as her cards were outstanding. I'm hoping to try some of the paper she introduced me to and go from there.

Warning! SSUS-Cape Cod Retreaters....No Peeking

This year I decided to participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. I made this card as a contraband swap for our retreat and inside I enclosed a few breast cancer facts and the reasons I'm participating in the walk this year.

I think it is important for woman to realize breast cancer can affect anyone, even those who do not have any history of it in their family. The numbers are astonishing. I encourage every one of you reading this to read the health facts on breast cancer and make sure you are doing your monthly breast exams. Detecting it early can be a lifesaver!

If you wish to generously make a donation to may walk, please feel free to do so here

Please make sure to drop me an e-mail with your addy so that I can send you a thank you card and in advance...thank you for supporting the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk and myself.

Another SSUS Cape Cod Retreater Warning...No Peeking

This is the 2nd card I did for our retreat swap. I had cut all my cardstock in the hopes of trying a new card fold but my dimensions were off...needless to say ALL the cardstock was already cut and I didn't want to waste any of it so I improvised.
Set Used: Best of Cluck, Canvas (barely visible)
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Confetti White, So Saffron, Cool Carribean (do you see a color resemblance??) Notations paper
Inks: Stazon
Reinkers: Old Olive, Cool Carribean, So Saffron
Accessories: Ticket punch and staples
This card actually flips up to open where the so saffron cardstock ends

Warning! SSUS-Cape Cod Retreaters....No Peeking

I am headed to Cape Cod with 18 other stampers this weekend and
we have quite a few swaps we are doing. This is one of the SU! swaps I'm doing. At first I wasn't very fond of it and I think it was because I don't use this
set a lot, but I'm learning to like it now.

Sets used: Do the Hula
Cardstock: Confetti White, Cool Carribbean, Certainly Celery and So Saffron
Reinkers used were the same as the cardstock
Baby Wipe Technique was used on the Aloha. To learn this technique check out the wonderful tutorial by Beate Johns.
Accessories: Soft Subtles brads, Spring Bouquet punch, 1 3/8" circle punch.

The card actually opens where the cirlces meet Aloha

Name Frame

I had made a name frame for my husband's cousin last year when her daughter was born. Her friend had seen it and commissioned me to make one for her as well. It was a challenging one as I had a particular color frame to work with as well as doing 2 names vs. 1 name. I was pleased with how it turned out.

Stamp Sets: Giggle Alphabet from CTMH, Doodle That, Big Blossom, Bundle of Joy and a few others for the background on the letters which is difficult to see in the picture.
Colors Paper: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Marcella paper by K (background)
Colors Ink: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Prima flowers, Antique Brass hardware, Corner Slot punch

Stamp Sets: Bundle of Joy, Polka Dots & Petals

Cardstock: Whisper White, Cool Carribean, Basic Black

Other: Aquapainter, Cutter tool kit, ticket corner punch

This was a cool fold that I had seen on someone's website and I really apologize as I've been blog surfing all morning and wanted to give credit to the person who had the tutorial on there, but can't find it for the life of me.

I made this a few weeks ago as I love this set, I have a hard time putting it down. I'm really trying to break out of my element lately by using sets that I don't use too often and colors that I'm not drawn too.
I've been working on a name frame that I have been commissioned to do and am having fun with it. There are so many things that I can envision doing with it, but I had found the perfect 8 x 10 frame for it, so I'm trying to get it all in to that size. I will post the finished product once I get it completed.
