Doodle This/Spring Mini Swap

This was a swap card I worked on earlier this week for a Spring Mini swap I'm doing on SU-Girlfriends.

Stamp Set: Doodle This
Colors: Bashful Blue, Close To Cocoa, Cranberry Crisp, Old Olive and Whisper White
Other: Round Tab punch, soft subtles brads, Cranberry Crisp Grosgrain and Aquapainters

This was also a Color Challenge on SCS as well as a Sketch Challenge (too tired to look up which ones but will edit to add).

I am headed out of town tomorrow to go to my corporate office. A friend there is also a SU Demo and so I always try to make her something when I'm up there. Pam is equally as talented and she blows me away with her two-step stamping! I hope she will like this, she said she is always looking for new things for her stamp camps and I thought that this would be perfect. I used Taylor VanBruggen's directions for the coaster box and then I made 8- 3 x 3 gift cards with the scraps. Didn't take me too long to do, and had fun making them.

I'm so tired so I'll have to edit later on this week with materials used.

Thanks Jen (and Kevin) for the coasters!!!

2nd Regional Swap Card

Here's my 2nd swap card, I need to do about 20 more and I will be happy. That will give me a total of 4 designs, 10 each to swap with.
Stamps: Doodle This, Simply Said, Print Pattern
Colors: Buckaroo Blue, Whisper White, Blush Blossom, Marigold Morning and Cranberry Crisp
Other: Oval Punch, Coluzzle, Paper Piercer, Aquapainters

Swaps, Swaps, Swaps Galore

This weekend my whole purpose was to stamp. My sister-in-law Heather and I both took Friday off work and spent all day stamping. Then Saturday night a few friends and Heather came over and we stamped some more. My goals were to work on my regional swaps (got 20 accomplished), my swaps for my Cape Cod trip with Sensational Stampin'Up! Swappers (20 contraband cards, 40 Stampin'Up! cards and 20 cards for a shoebox swap). I also wanted to finish some 3 x 3 baby cards and a gift for a co-worker. I got a lot done but obviously still have to work on some of it!
Here's the first Regional Swap card I prepared. Can you tell what set I love out of the new mini????
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley, Bundle of Joy
Colors: Marigold Morning, True Thyme and Buckaroo Blue, Whisper White
Other: white grosgrain ribbon, white signo gel pen

SSUS Scraps Challenge

This weeks challenge on one of my groups was to use our scraps to make a card. The base didn't have to be a scrap but everything else did. Can you believe I had the base as a scrap along with everything else? My scrap bin is getting out of control and I just can't seem to get it down even though I use them all the time.

Stamp Sets: Bundle of Joy (available 3/1 through Stampin'Up! from the Spring Mini), Print Pattern
Colors: Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, So Saffron, Bashful Blue
Other: paper piercer and cutting tool kit

Enjoy!

Having a blast!

I was busy again last night stamping. I made these cards with the new long notes in the Spring Mini for Stampin'Up! The background was inspired by Ida Krause who was my partner for a the brown challenge swap. I haven't received it yet, but cheated and looked on her blog where she had it posted.

The inside flower was inspired by LaurieF on SCS. I don't think mine turned out 1/2 as nice as hers did, but I did my best on it and I was happy how they ended up turning out. Now if I can be brave enough to put them in the mail to someone.

Stamps: Bodacious Bouquet, Print Pattern, Small Sayings
Paper: Cool Carribean Long Notes, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Cool Carribean, Tempting Turquoise

I have also been busy finishing up some baby gift cards for Scott's cousin. I think I have finally made enough to send to her...oh wait, I need a few more "neutral" colored ones and then I'll be done. Not sure if I'll be able to stay awake long enough tonight to break all my stuff out.

Bundle of Joy

I created these little 3 x 3 cards for Scott's cousin to include with some adorable towels she makes as baby gifts. She was kind enough to make one for my little ones and I wanted to do something in return for her.

I want to make more for her of a different variety but boy, do I need to work on my watercoloring!!! I wish I were better at it, but I guess the more you do it the more you learn.

Stamp Sets: Bundle of Joy, Everyday Flexible Phrases
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Choco Chip, Confetti White
Inks: Basic Brown
Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Staples, Tab Punch

Polka Dots and Petals

I have been finding a lot of inspiration these days to break out my stamping stuff and do some stamping for fun. I've been trying the multiple challenges at Splitcoast Stampers (Color Challenge, Sketch Challenge) as well as other blog contests going on. Keep an eye out as I will be doing one of these every few weeks here in the near future.

The card on the left is for a black and white challenge on Joan's blog.

I wonder if I'm having more fun stamping because we changed the layout of our offices in my basement and I insisted on a little table back in my corner so I could just leave some stuff on there and stamp when I wanted to? I don't know, but I'm having fun.
