Have a Great Day!

I was using some images I received from my guest design stink at Critter Sketch Challenge.  This month they are being sponsored by Dustin Pike of Doodle Dragon Studios.  This is a digital image I used and had fun coloring it!

While I didn't follow the Critter Sketch directions this week (I did use green & the Dustin Pike image...I forgot the sketch instead using the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #111).  Oh well, I was excited to get something done this weekend and like the card overall.

This is short & sweet as I need to get to bed, it's going to be a busy week here with my travel for work, but am excited as I'm headed back to my hometown and looking forward to visiting some friends & family.

Card details:
Stamps: Owl freebie from Dustin Pike, sentiment from Papertrey Ink
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Summer Sun, A Blanc Check from Clear & Simple Stamps, Basic Grey Origins
Inks: Dish all the dirt brown, Copics
Accessories: Gold Brads, Circle Nestabilities, Parisian Punch

Going Grey with Scrap-creations: Spring Showers

This card was one I took forever creating.  I started it on Friday night and finally finished it up on Saturday night.  I was struggling with my Janome sewing machine and the new thread I had purchased.  It just didn't want to cooperate with me so I gave up and put in a different thread which worked like a charm.

Our challenge this week at Going Grey with Scrap-creations is Spring Showers.  I immediately thought of this stamp because I can't stand the rain (unless I'm home in bed, in my jammies) but I love the green grass afterwards and the blooming flowers.

I used the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #108 for this and the Basic Grey Kioshi paper that my  buddy Kristen surprised me with.  I wasn't too sure about the pattern combination but now when I see it all together I think it looks okay.

Check out the other girls creations this week as well as our new guest designer:

I hope you will join us this week over at Going Grey with Scrap-creations-keep in mind the theme is Spring Showers and Basic Grey papers.

Card details:
Stamps: Hearts and Flower by The Cat's Pajamas
Cardstock: Basic Grey Kioshi, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Janome Sewing Machine, Crystal Effects, Zva Crystals

Stampotique Designers Challenge: Easter Theme

Another week at Stampotique Designers Challenge.  This week our hostess Hella, gave us an "Easter" theme.

I originally was working with another image and then I received some new images I had ordered this week.  How cute are these little birds from Stampotique called Bold Birds from Maryse Carrier???    These were so much fun to color and I'm going to have to make a few more as I'm in love with the color combo.

I created this card using Taylored Expessions Sketch Challenge #95.

Okay, I had to make another one with this same sketch/image but different paper.  This one uses the SEI Paisley & Petals Planted Posies paper.  (try saying that 5 times in a row).

I hope that you will join us this week over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge, this is a week where you are required to use Stampotique stamps to participate.  If you don't have any any of their stamps, make sure to join us the second Wednesday of the month for your chance to win some Stampotique money to get some new stamps :-)

Check out the other designer's creations this week:

Happy Easter

For some reason whenever I use yellow I associate it with Easter and Spring.  That can be a great thing!  This weekend we spent the weekend at a baseball tournament for my son-where it was 27 degrees when we arrived.  Lucky for us, there was no wind and once the sun came out it warmed up pretty quickly.
Friday night I stayed up a bit late working on a few projects and wish I could say I had the energy Saturday night to continue, but I was wore out from being at the ball park all day so we sat and watched Whale Wars for a few hours.  What a crazy, sad show.

For my card I used a cute image I knew would be perfect with the Play Date Cafe's Creativity Challenge #19 this week.  This stamp is called Farm Animals from Stamp N Plus Scrap N.

I based my card of off Taylor's latest sketch #103.

Hope your Monday is off to a great start!

Cardstock:  Lemon Tart, YoYo Yellow, Whisper White
Inks:  Copics, Dish All the Dirt Brown
