Blogaversary Challenge #2: Kraft & Sewing

Joanne B. has had the best challenges leading up to her Blogaversary.  I love the two things to use this week, Kraft & Sewing!!!  I wish my little Janome was being nicer to me, but I guess she wanted the night off so she decided to only sew on 1/2 of my card, the other 1/2 I handstiched.  UGH!!!!

I love this cute little image from Stampingbella called Appleybowl Huggabugg.  She's so cute & I enjoy coloring her.  I also love this paper I used up  which is Persian Floral from Chatterbox Inc.  For some odd reason I'm drawn to these dark colors, I love them combined.

I used just a hair of kraft cardstock which I cut with my Tim Holtz Ornate decorative edge die & then it all was mounted on a full size kraft card.  I like how it turned out and I just sewed the edge of them together.

Card details:
Stamps: Appleybowl Huggabugg by Stampingbella, Handwritten Notes by Papertrey Ink
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Kraft, More Mustard, Persian Floral by Chatterbox Inc
Ink:  Perfect Little Black Dress, Copic Markers, Fresh Snow
Accessories:  Nestabilities, Janome sewing machine, Tim Holtz Ornate border die

Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #82

Mary Jo's Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge was one of my favorite sketches, one I think I will use over and over again. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, I've needed to make a baby boy card for my husband's cousin who just had a baby.

I borrowed a set from a friend called Little One by Clear & Simple Stamps to make a gift for a friend but thought it would also make a cute card. I'm loving this Basic Grey paper (June Bug). I can't seem to put it down.

I hadn't used this stamp set I bought months ago, although I've had it sitting on my desk for the whole time and wanting to use it, just hadn't done anything with it.

Join us this week with Mary Jo's sketch, would love to see what you create!

Card details:
Stamp Set: Daisy Lion by Stampingbella, Little One by Clear & Simple Stamps
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, PTI Stamper's Select, June Bug by Basic Grey
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Night of Navy
Accessories: Copics YR12 & YR14, B39, R27, Paper Piercer

BC104: Manly Cards

This week our Blogger's Challenge was to create a manly card. I needed to make hubby a Father's Day card and although this froggy Ketto from Stamping Bella is kind of feminine looking I think that it works well for a Father's Day card. Hoping my husband doesn't sneak a peek of this before Sunday.

I was flipping through my CTMH catalog from awhile ago and found a card layout I liked and went with that and Dawn's color challenge for last week. I really like these colors together but it was soooooo hard NOT to add another color to it.

Make sure to check out all the other blogger's challenge cards here.

Also, don't forget about my blog candy here.

Have you seen the challenges at Stampin' Out Alzheimer's yet? You still have time to donate & participate in the challenges until May 31.

This card was a lot of fun for me as I've been wanting to use this set. This is for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Sketch Challenge and Paper Make Up Stamps "Any Winged Thing".

You can't tell too well from the picture but there is Crystal Effects on wings and dots of this cute little thing ;-)

Blogger Challenge, Week #33, SC162

This week I combined the blogger challenge (use Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal, Rose Red and Old Olive) with the sketch challenge on SCS.

This was the worst color combo I've ever seen (sorry Lisa!) I just couldn't even think about using the Taken with Teal but I guess it looks okay on the card now that I look at it.

I got this awesome template from Sharon Johnson's blog and it was SOOOOO easy to make, I'm definitely going to have to try it again, and think it could actually hold 4 cards w/envies instead of just 2. I loved her sample so much and she was so generous to share the directions on how she made hers.

Make sure to check out the Blogger's Challenge button to the right which if clicked will give you a listing of all those who participate. Check out their awesome work as well to see what everyone came up with!

Sunday Dress

I made a card to showcase a way to use black rub-on flowers for a friend and had this card in mind as soon as I told her I would make something. Granted, it took me a few trays as I had another sentiment in mind for the bottom of the card and that just didn't work out.

I'm so excited that I stamped for a good 4 hours tonight and got 6 cards done. Ha ha!!! Hey, I was having fun by myself down here in the basement with some peace and quiet stamping time so I'm happy.

I'll be sharing a few more in the next few days...I was working on some challenge cards to share for next week, so you'll have to wait for those.

Stamp Sets: Stamping Bella Sunday Dress, SU! Small Sayings (retired)
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Whisper White
Inks: Black Staz-onAccessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, Soft Subtle Eyelets, Doodle Rub Bloom Borders by Polar Express

Cheers to the Cosmobella

This is a card I made with some scrap paper I had laying around from my last challenge card. I tried to coordinate the Cosmobella with the colors in the paper I had. I like how it turned out and need to use my Bella's more frequently.
Cheers to all during this Labor Day weekend!
