GGSC129: Humor

Today over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations our theme is "humor".  I hope I don't offend too many, but I love this sentiment from River City Rubber Works, cracks me up every time I see it and I love using it for birthday card.

This card I have in mind for a friend at work as I know she'll get a good laugh out of it.  I started off being inspired by the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge and I went for a very CAS looking card.  The background is a paint sample which I cut down a little and layered on some chocolate card stock.

Hope you all will show us your humorous side over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations-we'd love to get a good laugh out of your creation.

Thanks for stopping by!

Normal Birthday

Happy Monday!  Hope all my friends who celebrate had a wonderful Easter.  We had an enjoyable day with the family and are back to the grind today.

Today is my good friend, Kristen Catalano's birthday and I had some time to do some stamping this weekend.  I know how quirky she thinks these characters from Stampotique are and this sentiment is one that has been in my stash for awhile but I thought it was appropriate for my friend.

Wishing her a very Happy Birthday today and looking forward to my visit with her next week!

Clean & Simple Card

I was inspired to try one of Natasha's Clean & Simple Designs this week and while it took me about 3 days to do in between working & kids, I finally completed them. Now, if I had a free night, this would have been a breeze to do and one I will definitely use again.

I used two stamp sets I bought when I went shopping with some friends in MD on one of my trips up there (Gosh, they made me spend so much money with them!). I hadn't used either one yet and loved being able to use them. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor and absolutely loved this sentiment stamp when I saw it; I thought of my friend Rose & Kerry and knew they would appreciate it!

I also got the opportunity to start messing with my Copics. I still have a lot of work ahead of me but love the tutorials I've found on them. The more I play, the more I want :-) I need to hold off though as we are going on a cruise soon and we need to save some funds for that!

I actually created a set of 3 of these, 2 thank you's and 1 birthday card to add to my stash.
