Critter Sketch with a Twist: Buttons

Sadly, this month is coming to and end for my wonderful Guest Design gig with Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.  I've had a wonderful time creating with Melanie's challenges and working with her design team.  They are a sweet group of girls and Melanie's challenges are always fun!  I'll definitely be continuing to follow them all after I'm done. Thanks ladies for making me feel like a part of the team!!!

Our challenge this week was to use the sketch below with the twist of using buttons.

In honor of my last challenge with them, I chose to use a stamp I've used only once before here *eek, over 3 years ago*.  She was fun to color and I needed to make a Mother's Day card for a co-worker.  Hope she likes it!

Join us over at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog and have a chance to win the monthly door prize sponsored by My Scrapbooking Supplies. Would love to see what you create and if you need some inspiration, make sure you check out the design team creations this week:

Blogger Challenge, Week #12

Wow, we've been doing this for 12 weeks now huh? Doesn't seem that long. I really had something else in mind for this week, but it didn't work out. This card, however, did and I was pleased with it since it's the first time I've used the stamp itself.

This week our challenge was "Inspiration" again. What inspires us? I have one person that I absolutely adore her work and a card she sent me awhile back inspired my card this week. Please check out the original card at Jane's Addiction . I also participated in the color challenge for this week on SCS. The colors were Always Artichoke, Taken with Teal and Purely Pomegranate. I tell you I thought I would barf with those colors together but they really worked good together and I loved what I saw from other so figured I'd give it a try. I actually made a few cards using this color combo.

Well, on to my card for this week, sorry the pic is a little crooked:

Stamp set is by Karen Stolper at American Art Stamp, Canvas background
Colors: Always Artichoke, Purely Pomogranate, Taken with Teal, Very Vanilla
Inks: All colors above plus Black Stazon
Accessories: Twill Tape, Aquapainter, Oval punch for the shadow underneath (cut oval punch out of a piece of cardstock and put cardstock over spot I wanted, then sponged on Sahara Sand)

Make sure to check out the other inspiring works of our blogger's on the right hand sidebar.

Have a great weekend!
