Fanspiration: Birthday Wishes

This weekend was wonderful, I had a few nights of some free flowing mojo and was able to make quite a few cards.  I even got caught up on my Project Life album.  I always have high aspirations to do more scrapbooking type things in my album, but am finding as long as the pictures and stories are there I'm happy.

I came across this fun challenge from Verve Stamps- their Diva Dare Fanspiration.  You were to view the fan gallery and pick one that inspired you.  This card from whiterockmama just jumped out at me in the gallery, I love her black/white combination and the pop of green in her butterfly.  I especially loved the layout of the card.

For my card I did the black on black (hard to tell in pic) instead of white on white.  I decided instead of using a butterfly die I'd use one of my flowers and pop that with color.  The sentiment is embossed onto a strip of black cardstock.

My card is also for the There She Goes Birthday Challenge #5 to use 3 embellishments with a birthday theme.  I used ribbon, twine and perfect pearls.

Hope you are having a good start to the week and thanks for stopping by!
