As soon as I saw this weeks color combination over at CR84FN, I wanted to sit right down and stamp. I had a bunch of cards that needed to be done and this was one on my list for a dear friend who is going through a lot right now.
I love this beaded circle die, it's so very cool-it would actually make a great "sun". I started off with inspiration from the Viva La Verve Sketch for week 3 of July but kind of tweaked a little along the way.
I wanted to really stress in my card how I remember being with my friend, we live on opposite coasts and I don't see her often. Since she is going through so much, she hasn't even been stamping at all either. I love the Text Objects set from Verve Stamps for this reason, it's such a versatile set. I picked the background border stamp and stamped it over my circle and then used the stitch stamp to border it and really make it the focal point on the circle.
I used my sewing machine to sew all my panels on and then added some mini rhinestones around all the beaded circle edges. I stamped my sentiment directly on my patterned paper.
Hope my friend will like her card when she receives it.
