Blogger's Challenge: Summertime

Can you think of anything that represents summertime like the beach, palm trees, relaxing ocean front?  That is one think that screams summer to me...or VACATION anyway!

Today's blogger's challenge theme is SUMMERTIME and I have a few cards to share with you today that represent summer time to me.

The card above was created using the Island2Visit set from The{Stamps}of Life.  The large palm tree always makes me think of summer (and California).  I wanted to create a scene where there was a window, and really loved how this card turned out.

Card details:
Stamps:Island2Visit set from The{Stamps}of Life
Cardstock: Kraft Like a Rockstar, Dish All the Dirt Brown, Old Olive
Inks: Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Dish All the Dirt Brown, copics
Embellishments: Square and Scalloped square spellbinders nestabilities, Cream twill ribbon colored with copic, twine
**********************************************************************************
For the next card I went with a more colorful theme thinking of all the wonderful fish in the ocean.
I stamped the little starfish and then used the large one attempting the rock'n'roll method on it (didn't turn out horrible, but not as good as I envisioned it).
Card details:
Stamps:Island2Visit set from The{Stamps}of Life
Cardstock: A Blanc Check, Party Teal Dawn
Inks: Party Teal Dawn, Paint the Town Pink, Orange You Fabulous
Embellishments:Paint the Town Pink ribbon, circle punches
******************************************************************************

Lastly this was a large card that I created, I folded a full size piece of cardstock to make this scene work on this card.  I created a little banner that's floating above the coconut trees and hammock.  I even broke out some chalks for this card.

Three great cards. I wish I were laying under one of those palm trees with a mojito in my hand and the ocean breezes blowing over me. Now back to reality...

Wow! You did a bang up job on all 3 cards. I love the use of the "window" in your first card, the cheery color scheme on your second card and that wonderful hammock on your third card...ahh to be relaxing on a beach somewhere right now! Sigh...

I have to say my fav is the hammock between the trees. TOO cute. Clever to have the tree peeking through the window on your first card. Lovely set of cards.
